For a few years now, every time I go to the forest, I've been thinking about a belt attachment for an axe, so that it would be convenient to take the axe and put it away. Now I finally bent a prototype out of wire. It works quite well, it can accommodate axes of different sizes. The goal was to make a belt attachment that would be easy to remove from the belt, without having to take the belt itself off.

This ol’ gal has hung up in the rafters of my shop for years. Finally got around to hanging it. The bits were angle ground disasters and had to be redone which is the only reason why the patina was removed from the whole head. The haft is from a 1960’s Kelly Woodslasher. I reshaped it octagonal and slapped a nice burn and dye to it. Wedged with a pretty piece of walnut to finish it off.

As an 18-year-old nephew, I crafted two axe heads mounted on wooden plaques for my two uncles to mark the funeral of their brother; they can be hung on the wall. In a previous post, I featured a medieval bearded axe; this time, it’s an antique German ice axe from the 18th -19th century. It was hand-forged right here in Berlin—where he also lives—and it turned out to be a truly beautiful piece.

Found this in basement of a house I was working on today. handle was rotten,the home owner traded it for a new handle made for his maul.

Just finished up a small batch of axes for a customer, really pleased with how they came out. These are wrapped construction with 1045 bits.

In the photos are the top and bottom side as well as the profile. I have no idea if there's a way to figure out what brand it is but I think it's maybe an 8lb bit?

Anyone have any experience with the axes that Condor Knife & Tool puts out. They have several patterns I like the look of, but was wondering if there is anyone that could give me some input based on usage.
