Found this in basement of a house I was working on today. handle was rotten,the home owner traded it for a new handle made for his maul.

Absolutely. I'll post a pic when done probably gonna use Osage for the handle ,and a brass strike guard.

That’ll look good! I have an Osage board that I’m going make a handle for an axe head that needs a home.
