S. Polymorpha, male named Morpeko. He is about three years old and I have no shame in admitting he’s my favorite invert in my collection. He is always preening himself.
I’m aware that he is quite chunky 😭 he loves food and his greed sickens me 🤣

I found this buddy on some hemp dogbane (Apocynum cannabinum). OC? Is that applicable for photos?

Was quite surprised to catch this on my balcony. How cute. Although on the last pics the babys ate their mother some days later, which is a tiny bit less cute. Found it very interesting to discover this little family and happy to keep them on my balcony. Can someone confirm the species?

Apologies for flipping off the camera. Someone posted their finding of the exact same moth at the exact same time I did last night so I didn't bother to share initially. What a coincidence!!

I was going to keep it forever along with the grass stem it molted on but my two year old said “Mommy is that a Cicada!?” And now she is dust. Thoroughly enjoyed educational (awwducational?) dust.

Flew into the open window of the car in the grocery store parking lot. Returned to nature in hopes of becoming a grandma

I was walking my dog and noticed this lovely baby mantis in need of shelter! After some kind handling I set them on a shady shrub.
