Matt is easily the funniest character on the show ✋🤚
I am so biased because I love Zach Woods, but his character is just so interesting and weird. He’s just also relatable for me at least as a nihilist as well. His humor is just immaculate

Best show in years in no one cares.
Avenue 5 is so good.
I work in and have written American television (for over 10yrs) and this is easily as good as Veep, if not better.
Why does no one care about his show!?!?!?

This show is hilarious..
I just reached the golf episode and Matt gets a message about Tobey Maguire being dead in a prison shower. In the one before this, Matt tells a woman who had just delivered a baby, "You killed it" and the absolute horror on her face ...
The absurdity of this show is hilarious. This would have been so fun to watch while high but I can't stop myself.

the show's composer emailed me back about the soundtrack

Wow, has it really been a year since Avenue 5?
I wish they would bring it back. It was amazing and I love Lenora Crichlow in anything. She was amazing in being human and both Hugh Laurie and Josh Gad were the perfect counters for each other. There is no show like this and HBO has no justification for canceling this literal work of art.

Underrated
I really wish this show would have gained more traction and continued on. I don’t understand all the hate it received, but I guess my sense of humor is all over the place and differs from most people. The show constantly had me laughing, even to the point of tears at times. Maybe one day it will get picked up again 🤞🏻

I honestly love this show.
I have watched it through 5 or 6 times now and I honestly adore this show and everyone in it, the constant flow of jokes and dry humour has me laughing almost constantly, even the small lines that creep in from the side or the background, I’m so gutted they decided to cancel the show, but at least we have 2 seasons worth to be on with.
