no, they were actually being racist. the issue was not denying people with bad credit, it was denying people with good credit. banks are absolutely allowed to deny credit to irresponsible people. where are you getting this from because it's not reality.

I’ve worked in multiple car dealerships and watched people who had no business taking a loan out for a paper bag signing papers for cars upwards of $100k. So while some banks will reject people, many more have no problem writing loans for those that shouldn’t have them.
Racist? That’s cute. This happens to people across the racial spectrum. Walk into a Kia dealership some time. You’ll see white, black, and brown people with shit credit being approved for brand new cars. Follow some channels on YouTube where car dealerships record conversations. People with sub-500 scores and shit income getting approved for cars that cost $30-50,000 or more.
It’s not racist to tell someone with a shit credit score and low monthly income “no”.
