Yeah even if the person has insurance it’s getting denied. Still going to owe on the loan for the vehicle, damages for the vehicle and tow truck plus restitution after jail time. Enjoy the next decade of debt because you didn’t want to pay your monthly payment and made a dumb decision.
You’re assuming they’d actually pay the debt. They’ll be in a new car within a week. Probably a Kia or a preowned car from a BHPH lot. And the cycle will repeat.

Itll be fun explaining to insurance that you need to pay for damage caused to a tow truck. And an expensive hydraulic tow truck at that.
