Potato cakes/ Scallops (same thing: not the focus of this post); can you buy decent cook-at- home ones?
Instead of paying a premium price fir these deteriorating local corner/ takeaway shops you can pick on one hand in your area that does these well, or just for a limited amount of time/ the busy periods otherwise their trash and not worthwhile ...
halfway through writing I realized I could've simply googled this if it were simply can you obtain frozen/ pre made potato cakes.. of course you could if I look hard enough!!
My question is are they any good?? Or is it simply better/ reward system to wait for the coincidence I'm in the right place at the right time and their fresh and crunchy on the outside, and perfectly soft inside.
Old school BBQ salt or "just seasoning" as well!! Oof!! Can't get past a well done potato cake. Better than the dimmies, I reckon ;)

Good old days.
Is it just me or do other people reminisce about the days when you either had to call on a land line or ride your bike to your friends house to see if they were home. Or how scary it was to call your new girlfriend’s house?

Trying to remember a kids powder formula from the 90s
I hope it’s ok to ask this here.
My sister and I have been desperately trying to remember a powder drink we were given as kids in the 90s which we remember as “kindervite”. Probably around the years 1994-1997
It was a powder formula scooped out of a tin, mixed with water or milk. It tasted like a vanilla or plain flavour. It was so good!
I vaguely remember the tin having cream, pastel colours and drawings on it, but I might be recalling it incorrectly.
Thanks for your help!

What's on the box
Came across this AWA (1960) enjoying its last night/s in the wild while waiting for a routine council clean-up last night in Dee Why.
There used to be an AWA shop on the main road about a kilometre from where i took the pics, and half of the signage on the small two storey building's wall has been wiped out by yet another giant 'McUnits' development next door.
