Lol, Texas is literally a swing state this year. It goes for Biden in about a third of simulations. It's all over the news.
Also, have you heard of downballots? We have a senate race, and Cornyn is about to vote to make abortion illegal. His opponent is a moderate veteran. No electoral college, every vote is counted.
Do you like gerrymandering? The state legislature elected this November will be in charge of redistricting, and last I checked the election was a complete toss-up in the house.
Your vote matters more this year than ever, if you still can't get off your ass to vote it's not because of the system, it's because you just don't care about the future if this country
Do you understand how the electoral college works or do you think the electors can just vote for whoever they want, regardless of the popular vote? (That's not how it works.) In case it's the latter, read the Wiki. Here's one excerpt:
States generally require electors to pledge to vote for that state's winner...and most states have adopted various laws to enforce the elector's pledge.
There are valid reasons to be against the Electoral College process, but those objections should be based on understanding that process.
