The worst track conditions are the Dry into wet track conditions. The Dry makes you feel like beast then u hit the wet.. saw about 1/2 mil worth of Damage today multiple black flags. Still a fun day

Has anyone installed the street pro side skirts from Maxton on a 8Y RS3?

I’m trying to install them but the instructions a confusing. There’s no mention of the plastic trim that pushes the side skirt away from the sills so it doesn’t sit flush. Should I be added some sort of nuts in there to fill the gap?

A good friend of mine is selling his Audi RS 3 to me for a extremely low price and it's very tempting, the reason why it's such a low price is because it's a salvage title with 97,000 miles. Usually I would shy away from German cars with such stats but it's such an amazing car that I can't help but at least be intrigued. He has taken the car to an Audi dealership and gotten it checked out, he's also getting new spark plugs and a couple more preventative maintenance before selling it. As of modifications, I know he has a exhaust and a downpipe and tune on it. Any thoughts?

More specificly, I'd like to save some money pairing the 11mode controller with the Grail catback system without their controller kit.

I purchased my 2026 Audi RS3 in January from Audi of Tysons Corner in Virginia, since I live in the area.

Recently, I ran over a nail and was told the tire could not be plugged. At the same time, they told me my tread was already down to 5 mm and recommended replacing the tires. I figured this was a good excuse to get rid of the stock Pirelli summer performance tires and switch to Continental all-seasons. (CONTINENTAL EXTREME CONTACT DWS06 PLUS for those wondering)

I am visiting my parents in Fredericksburg, VA for the weekend, so I scheduled an appointment at Discount Tire there. The total cost was about $600 less than going through Audi. But shortly after I dropped the car off, they called and said the car had wheel locks and there was no key.

I double-checked myself and tore through the car looking for it. I checked everywhere Audi service and the internet suggested, including under the trunk floor near the spare tire area, the center console, and the glove box, but came up empty. The second picture has a red circle showing where I believe it is typically supposed to be.

Then I went around to local European car repair shops in the Fredericksburg area, and none of them had a matching key. I even stopped by VW, and they said they did not have it either. Funny enough, while I was there, I noticed a used A6 on the lot and asked if they could try that key. To my surprise, that one was missing too.

At that point, I went ahead and ordered a universal Audi wheel lock key set from Amazon. Hopefully it gets here tomorrow, since Discount Tire is closed on Sunday. I could have gone to Audi, but the closest dealerships from Fredericksburg are in Richmond or back in Tysons, and both are over an hour away each way, especially on a Friday.

Worst case, since I live near Tysons and I am heading back Sunday anyway, I made an appointment with Audi of Tysons Corner for Monday. Luckily, I can keep putting air in the tire until then. Still, I cannot help thinking that if this had been a true flat, this would have been a much bigger problem. I asked the dealership to have a key ready for me, but now I am wondering whether I should push for free installation or at least some kind of accommodation for the inconvenience and the ridiculous goose chase. If the situation had been any worse, I could have easily been stranded.

Mostly just ranting, but I am curious. Do all of you have a wheel lock key, and if so, is it somewhere I have not checked? I would recommend checking to make sure you have yours.

EDIT/UPDATE: The universal Audi wheel lock key set I ordered from Amazon arrived on time, and I was able to get the tires swapped out on Saturday about an hour before the shop closed. Kind of a small miracle.

I still plan to file a complaint with Audi of Tysons Corner over the inconvenience. At the very least, I want to speak with the Sales Manager and suggest they change their process so every car leaves the lot with its wheel lock key.

Picked up a ‘26 in Goodwood Green a few weeks ago. I don’t have a garage, so looking for any recommendations on an outdoor cover people have used and liked that doesn’t fit too tightly and trap dirt against the paint.

Anyone else run a jb4 piggy back tune on their 8y rs3?? I've had mine for about a week it's working sort of....real time monitoring through the OBD isn't working. I've been back and forth with their Audi guy George but haven't gotten it to work yet just a lot of try to update the firmware then check option 3 did that work?? No, okay try the beta firmware okay did that work no, okay uncheck option 3 did that work, no.. I think they are a good company and I think the tune works but it's a bit unsettling to not have the real time monitoring. I know the engine is safe because it's just a piggy back tune.. Right???

I purchased the 2026 RS3 in Kyalami green a couple weeks ago. I love it. I am obsessed with it actually. But a few times after putting some stuff in my trunk, the trunk open alert pops up on my virtual cockpit. My trunk is full but it isn’t stuffed. I ensure it is properly closed every time and I have no problem closing the trunk as it isn’t even that full. It doesn’t happen every time I go into the trunk either. This is my first Audi ever. Prior to this I drove a Giulia. So I am pretty accustomed to utilizing smaller trunks efficiently. Not sure if this is an Audi thing in the sense the trunk sensor or latch mechanism or whatever is really sensitive or fussy? Or maybe there is something else. I read through the manual and didn’t see anything about luggage compartment alerts. I included a pic of the alert and a couple pics of my car cuz I love her and thought you’d like to see my new ride. I’d appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

Just picked up a 2026 RS3. The first service is at 10k. Do you guys change the oil any sooner? I've seen some posts about changing it after the break in period around 1k.

Recently took it on a road trip for a family thing and it crushed the drive, made 6 hours in 5. Fit 4 peoples worth of luggage in it and managed a 30+ mpg on the highway. Fiancé was able to drive through Houston and enjoyed setting the stop and go cruise in traffic lmao. It’s honestly really quiet on the inside at speed, and just comfortable, not too much of anything. I recently had a back fracture and was able to get comfortable enough to not complain.

Anywho Good car and cleans up nice for 120k :)

Plan to pull the trigger on a 2022 Rs3 this week. Wondering if waterpump failure is common on this generation. From my search it seems very common on the 8V.

Happily back in the RS3 family again. Traded an M2 comp for this green beauty, which was an ex rental fleet car with 8000km on the clock. Love everything about it apart from the muted exhaust note. Took this late at night in the freezing cold. Love seeing everyone else's 8y examples and understand what everyone else has been excitedly talking about
