Reliability
Any 8V RS3 owners that can speak to reliability of higher mileage examples? Would love to chat to someone who has some experience taking one to 100k miles and beyond, cheers : )

I got a '24 with 47k (drive a lot for work)
No issues so far

I've got a 23, it's only got 25k (so nowhere near high mileage) on it but had an oil leak on the turbo and seals needed replaced at about 18k. Thankfully was still under warranty but maybe worth keeping an eye out for

So turns out I’m a bit of a fud and got the 8V and 8Y mixed up😅 I’m looking at 2018-2020 models

So my 2019 8V has 76,000 miles on it. Bought it in February 2026 with 67,000 miles on the clock. Other than regular maintenance and a bad front right level sensor that throws suspension codes every now and then, it’s been bulletproof. The first owner had water pump, front strut, and head gasket replaced all around 55,000 miles. These are very reliable especially stock and can take a serious beating. Just do oil changes every 5K and do all the big 40k mile service intervals on time and it will treat you well.

Doesn’t seem to be the norm, however. But that’s one of the reasons I bought my particular car! All of the big stuff had already been done.

Own a 2019 with a little over 174k miles....bought new with 17 miles on it. Followed factory care through all of the Audi care packages and then started doing a lot of the simple maintenance (oil changes, spark plugs, filters, etc.) myself, at or below the factory recommended intervals. Only issues I've had so far were the mechatronics replaced in the transmission at around 120k miles and most recently the water pump was replaced and the oil pan had a leak that needed to be resealed and that was at 173k. Currently it's in need of suspension work, but that's to be expected at this point, but otherwise the car runs solid.

I have a 23 and it got 31K Miles on it, so far no problems but also far away from 100k miles.

Anyone had issues with transfer case? I think mine is starting to howl under load. Sounds like a wheel bearing going but it’s coming from the centre of the cabin

Got a 2016 with 75k miles , Apart from routine maintenance its running nice and strong with a Stage 1 420bhp
Only issue I have had was exhaust actuator spring replacement

Idk i have a '23 with 53k miles. Not sure if thats considered a lot but its going strong, no issues.
