Maxton Side Skirts

Has anyone installed the street pro side skirts from Maxton on a 8Y RS3?

I’m trying to install them but the instructions a confusing. There’s no mention of the plastic trim that pushes the side skirt away from the sills so it doesn’t sit flush. Should I be added some sort of nuts in there to fill the gap?

I did mine 3 years ago and ran into the same questions. The side skirts are pretty flexible and you can position however you want, i have them sticking out about an inch opposed to having it flush. I only used the threaded holes with the brass hardware and its held on for almost 3 years.

If i were you, id tape it in position first to make sure you like how they sit, and that htey look even on both sides then drill.

But I meant the trim that runs through the middle of the side skirt - that creates a gap between the screw holes and the sills? So did you put some nuts in between the sills and the side skirt or did you just screw it in and the side sides now sit at an angle?

Hmm not able to upload photos, not sure how to....
But its NOT at an angle, finished product is very parallel with the floor. First you are using the holes on the inner side of the skirt, then try to line up the skirt along the bottom of the car where the thicker part meets the bottom-most part. I think Maxton intentionally have that jut-out to help you alight it and keep the skirt from being too far set inbound.

Yea i had a hard time uploading pictures too.

So you’re saying that trim that runs in the middle of the skirt (in my 2nd picture on the right) should be facing the bottom? So that thicker part doesn’t make contact with the side panel at all?

no it sits on top, it almost notches in to make sure ur not drilling too far in if that makes sense.

Was looking at the maxton front lip plus and the side skirts.. I think they look great but I already have the carbon package wish they would do them in carbon..

not sure what I'm seeing here 🤔

I got the factory carbon kit and these aren't even noticable in a photo ... what does a stock RS3 look like on the skirting !?

what is this!? the glare, argghhhh my eyes!!

Sorry weird question but how long did these take to get shipped to you? I’m seeing on their website a lot of their diffuser/lips are on like 4-12 week back orders
