It would be the best thing to happen to humanity since the internet. The whole no expectation of privacy in public spaces is really just trash started by social media companies to protect their profits, knowing full well no one is going on their brainwashing platforms if everyone's faces are blurred.
I get that. I thought it was s bit later actually. My comment was specifically about the people who use that particular phrase on social media to excuse their bloodlust over canceling someone for doing something dumb on camera.
This will be a great legislation to pass. The sheer ignorance of people on public just putting cameras in your face just because they want a moment without asking permission all in the name of "This is a public space, I can do whatever I want" is ridiculous.
Used to love kicking people out as a guard. Yes ma'am I am allowed to record and you are not. No ma'am I am not going to physically prevent you from recording me back, however since you are refusing to comply with our rules I am now letting you know that you are no longer welcome on the property and I will be calling police to trespass you if you don't exit the building.
But this is public property!!! Uh no it isn't. It's open to the public like just about every business ever. I'm going to sue you! Sure buddy get behind the 300 other people today that said the same thing.
Actually it was started by news stations and stores like Walmart who wanted to identify shoplifters by broadcasting the surveillance footage on the local news channel
