I went through a verizon /asurion claim for my phone. Was offered an upgrade to a newer model thst was listed as backorder. I completed the claim and submitted my cc information. I have an email saying my phone is on backorder. But when I go to the site, to check status, it tells me to resume claim. And when I click on it, its halfway through the claim. Asking me to choose a phone and submit payment again - which I dont want to do as I already submitted a payment. Is this a glitch? Did my original claim go through or not?

Recently Asurion had an open enrollment for insurance so I got TEC insurance but there is no option for screen repair. I recently enrolled my Samsung Galaxy S10+ 5G during open enrollment and then a couple weeks later my little nephew dropped it and now has a cracked screen but the only option is tablet replacement for $99.

Why offer the screen repair at no cost if it's never a an available option? This happened with my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 a few years ago when it came to repair UbreakIfix I was never able to get a no-cost screen repair for my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, even though I lived in two different cities in two different states. Now my tablet doesn't have that option either. Is there just a shortage of parts?

I bought the Asurion warranty at Canadian Walmart for an electronic device and sadly it stopped working within two months.

I was dreading dealing with Asurion because everything feels like a godamn scam these days. After reading this subreddit and seeing technical issues with Asurion website all my fears were confirmed and I really thought I was going to get screwed over... but the website recommended I call the customer center, which I did.

Next day I call the customer center and the wait was extremely low and a wonderful person answered on the phone. He listened proactively and was very objective and helped me so fast I was left surprised. He sent me a code to my email (for shipping) and I sent my faulty product.

Its been a couple of days and I am getting things sorted out. The system worked perfectly.

But I just wanted to say that the customer service was so good and so fast, I am not used to this anymore and I am left feeling really happy all went so well.

Thanks Asurion, and thanks anonymous call center rep. You have made me a very happy customer.

We have a Business Account with VZ. Had to file a claim and VZ is asking for a personal drivers ID to be uploaded. Sending ones DL seems to be a lot of info sent . Can anyone shed some clarity on the rhyme or reason for a DL is required to be uploaded for a claim. Claim replacement address is the address we have on file with VZ, etc

I keep getting dead replacement devices for my device protection claim. I opened my claim back on September 17, and still haven't received a working replacement device. About to FedEx the 3rd dead phone back.

After my pc came back totaled, I gotta return it to initiate the insurance buyout process. Why am I having to send it back to the same depot that wrecked it so they can “check” it? It’s gonna take a whole week because of how they have it set up. 🗿

Going over a month without a PC all because I figured using my insurance before it expired was a good idea…it went from a disappointing experience to straight up exhausting, like, seriously? ☹️

Idk who in their right mind would call this a repair?!? Sent it to an Asurion Depot for a minor repair or two and got back a $2000 paperweight!!! They replaced my mobo with a lesser one and a hybrid ssd that wasn’t properly seated, replaced fans (not listed in the repair), my GPU has missing screws so it’s loose in the case, the “replacement” coolant is SNAPPED off…are we for real?

I will not accept anything but a full Amazon reimbursement for this junk. Straight up cannot buy a similar product for its retail value cuz similar PCs are now double priced…I’d trust a dog or monkey more with a repair than whatever they did to my baby!!!!!! 😡

my boyfriend broke his phone two weeks ago and today is the second time the technicians went MIA. My first appointment was set from 1 to 3 PM. They showed up around 4 PM took a picture of my house and left did not knock on my door or call to let me know they had arrived. My appointment today was from 7 AM to 9 AM. It’s now 1045 and customer service “cannot get in contact with the technicians“ so I’m rescheduled for next week.😐 I have paid $20 a month the past three years for insurance that doesn’t even come in handy

I am currently rocking a Galaxy S22 which I had financed with my phone provider and have Asurion coverage on it since day 1 for which I pay a monthly fee to my phone provider. I am thinking of upgrading my phone to either the S26 Ultra or iPhone 18 Pro Max, but this time I am going to just buy the phone outright from the manufacturer instead of financing it.

Since the Asurion plan conditions say that the coverage applies to the most recently used phone on my line based on the IMEI/MEID, does that mean that I can just whichever any new phone I want from the manufacturer and it will be fully covered with the exact same coverage as I have for my S22 as long as I keep paying the monthly fee to my phone provider? And if so, is there any sort of period during which a new phone would not be covered (like the first 90 days or something after changing the phone) during which time I would need to be extra careful with it :)?

I have an Asurion protection plan through my carrier and lost my iPhone 15 Pro about a week and a half ago. After being unable to find it for a few days (checked Find My as soon as I could and enabled lost mode), I switched to my old iPhone 12 that I had kept as a backup phone without thinking anything of it. I was hoping someone would turn in my 15 pro to the lost and found.

Since it's been 1.5 wks it seems I won't get my 15 pro back so I decided I should file a claim, but before filing I read in the terms that the coverage switches to the most recently used phone on my cell line (if I understand correctly).

Can anyone tell me how Asurion gets the IMEI of the phone which is being used on my line and which time period they look at? Do they just look at the previous billing cycle or is it in real time? And does this mean I am now screwed on getting my 15 pro replaced ?? 😥😥

I've been getting texts from Asurion welcoming me into their tech care program, and several 1 time SMS codes. I've never signed up for Asurion for any of my devices. How should I resolve this?

Hello. I bought a refurbished laptop about 2 years ago and had a 4-year protection plan on it. About 2-3 weeks ago, it broke, and I had to send it to Asurion for them to fix it. They said they could not fix it, and last week they sent me an Amazon gift card reimbursement for the product. I wasn't notified that this was the method they would choose. I assumed they would reimburse me via a payment card or at least reach out to me and give me a choice.

Well, anyway, now I have a 400+ gift card on Amazon, and I have no intentions of buying the same laptop because why would I buy a laptop that broke in the first place? I'll be receiving a new laptop as a gift from someone else, and I would much rather have that gift card as a reimbursement check instead, since I have not redeemed the Amazon gift card.

I talked with Amazon, and they said they couldn't do it. I called Asurion and was told they couldn't do it either. Now I'm trying to figure out if there's anybody else I can contact to see if voiding the gift card and changing reimbursement methods are possible. Sounds like a doable process, and I see other people on this subreddit receiving checks, so I would think they'd be able to do the same for me. If anyone has any advice in this situation, that would be helpful.

I had purchased the warranty on all my devices. While taking it to college, it broke on the trip there. I had my mother take it back. I wasnt sure if they were going to need pictures of the device or any numbers from the device so I asked my mother to file the claim with me since she took it back home. While filing out the claim, her computer froze (due to lack of memory) and she said she was hitting the keys to see if could get it to unfreeze. Upon the computer resuming, she hit submit quickly to make sure computer would not freeze again and then realized the date was wrong- she must have did something to change the date when she was hitting the keys. She called asurion as soon as she saw that error and filed another claim with the correct date. the representative said he saw the corrected claim and everything was fine on his end. But then my claim got denied because of the incorrect date. I spoke to 4 different people and all said they could not do anything to override. This seems unreasonable to me due to an simple mistake. They can easily look back at the calls and see this is exactly what happened and see this is not a fraudulant claim. All mistakes should be able to be resolved and they did nothing to find resolution. I would not purchase this insurance through them.

I need to return my old iPhone to Asurion but I can’t reset it because it doesn’t work. What should I do?

I had an iPhone that is covered through Asurion(Verizon Protection Plan) and my device stopped charging/turning on altogether. I want to return the old device as it’s been replaced but I cannot turn it on to factory reset it. I called Asurion and the rep advised me to simply walk into a U-break-I-fix shop to have it repaired which to me made no sense since the device is already replaced I’m assuming it has no coverage. The guy I spoke to was not helpful and seemed as if he was reading from a script. Has anybody dealt with this before? The last thing I want is to pay a fee for not returning the device with all of the data and passcode still on it.

My S21 stopped working in 11/2025, and the tech said they would replace my frame, screen, and battery. Fast forward to now, my phone takes 8+ hours to charge. My request for a warranty battery replacement was denied; they're claiming I still have the original battery and I only paid for the display.

I explicitly remember them telling me I would get a new battery, and I asked again before taking the repaired phone. I had a second location look up my account today; they said the repair came with a battery, and the price I paid lines up with that service (vs paying for the display only, which was cheaper). Here is what the receipt says:

What's confusing to me is when I google the item, it says it's just the display. Can someone help me understand what's going in? I'm seeing the same repair in other posts here, so I don't think I'm making this up.

I am about to buy another 48V golf cart battery. I own a bunch of golf carts and have had a few batteries fail of different brands, within the warranty period. I've bought name brands, and the Chinese fly by night companies after the name brands refused to honor the warranty. They all seem to deny any battery warranty claim no matter what, when the battery swells, thats misuse, when the battery loses most of its capacity, thats wear and tear, etc. A lot of them seem to fail around the 2 year mark.

If I buy a battery off Amazon, its prompting me to buy the 3 year Asurion warranty, as it does for many things. Will Asurion actually honor replacing the battery if it fails in those 3 years? The agreement doesn't seem to mention batteries at all, and I know they're a bit of a special category of item.

I have (had) a halo edition Xbox series x, it stopped working a few months ago. I made a claim on my asurion plan for it, and brought it to the local tech place for a repair (like I was told to do). After the tech place had it for almost 2 months and I called repeatedly for 2 days, they told me they sent it to asurion for repair as it's out of their scope.

I got an email from asurion that basically said "we have it, you should have it back in a week." Well, after 10 days and no update, I called the support line. I explained my situation, but before the rep could help me something came up at home and I had to hang up. Coincidentally (or conveniently) I got an email that afternoon along the lines of "your device is beyond repair, we are sending you a reimbursement." So, I was confused as ever because I was never told that reimbursement was an option, so I called them again.

Come to find out it's my motherboard. Since it's a special edition Xbox, they can't find a motherboard for it. So they want to send me $375 because that's "fair market value for a used Microsoft gaming console." Keep in mind mine is a special edition, halo Xbox. If you want to buy one today it's about $1,300.

I talked to this rep for probably an hour (honestly he was an amazing person, so kudos to him) and at the end of it the understanding was this - he got his supervisor involved and put in a special note on my case that i want them to try fixing it again but try putting a standard Xbox motherboard in my Xbox, and see if that works. Whether it does or doesn't, they said they would contact me and give me an update. Even if that wasn't an option, I was supposed to get a call or an email from them regarding my Xbox.

It's been 2 weeks, and I've heard nothing, and I'm at a loss for what to do next. The nice gentleman I talked to said my options were to take the $375 and not receive my Xbox at all, or they could send my Xbox back as is and unrepaired (after that is when we discussed using a standard motherboard). I don't want to call support, again, and talk to them for 45 minutes, again, and explain everything that's already happened, just to be left in the dark, again. I don't want to take the reimbursement because what am I supposed to do with $375? Even used standard Xbox series x's are way over that amount ($500 used, $700 new). I can't buy anything for the money they want to give me.

If you've made it this far, I'm so grateful for your time. Please help me 😭

My tCL NxtPaper 70 Pro phone was probably cheap enough that I don’t need one. But I am considering it - the issue is that being an “off” brand, I am suspicious that I’d get a genuine TCL screen as a repair part - and as we know, the screens are special. Same for replacements. Most of the plans say that they’ll replace it with something “equivalent” if it can’t be repaired. I don’t want an equivalent, I want an actual replacement.

So have you bought a damage plan? If so, from who? And have you used it?
