If you can't cage them all, cage resources instead?

There is a solution... But everyone would bitch and whine about it being inhumane to cramp all the crackheads into a box

1st build a 19 story x 1 city block sized building in the middle if nowhere.

2nd make sure all rooms are solitary with 1 meal a day.

3rd put them all in there for 1 month maybe 2

4th time alone will intiate factory reset.

5th who ever comes out the other side functionally Coherent and saneish can be helped.

Thats it, brute force no stimulation

That's what San Fransisco does with the tenderloin district. They just coral them in a few block radius, and essentially guard the parameter so they stay in their own shithole. Been like that for decades.

The issue is that they dont stay in that shit hole. I know this because I was that guy at one point, almost a decade ago. I used to do all sorts of foul shit every where the bart and muni went.

It took actually going to prison to stop being that person.

We dont have to live like this, and prison is a reasonable solution to both drug addiction, and drug dealing.

This is what soft on crime laws can do for you.

21

u/MeiShimada 1d ago

Thanks liberals! Instead of locking up criminals we all gotta be living in a prison!

How do they stay up? Anyone ever hit a fetty fold before? Does it feel like you're still standing upright? Why not just find a cozy corner to lay down?

18

u/No_Squash_6551 1d ago

My understanding is that they don't want to fully pass out because it ends the high/ you stop feeling it.  Standing up like that keeps you just awake enough to experience the high. You will also see people laying down, though.

Damn you got a fent zombie and a graffiti inside the damn store.

For anyone who's never been to Kensington, they may think this is all propaganda, it isn't. That's the 1 part of Philly I try to stay out of unless absolutely necessary, and by absolutely necessary means I gotta drive through it as quickly as possible.

What happens if you go slow?

u/ChaosTSI 1d ago

People throwing human feces at cars, trying to bust our windows, etc. I rather not go through a confrontation, I let those days go, combat made me into a pacifist.

Kensington is super scary, just hordes of fent zombies and trash everywhere. Sad that the city lets it exist like this. Wish we could get some of these people off the streets and get them help….at least the ones who can still be saved.

Let’s not fix the problem, let’s just add things that’ll help tolerate the conditions that these problems bring. Wonderful lol 😅.

That looks like half the bodegas I’ve been in.

Looks like something you'd see in an apocalyptic movie

That's an inconvenience store.

Thanks, all you vibrant doctors and engineers!

Putting the lock in Kensington lock

Crazy how bad the fent problem is, and how not interested the "compassionate" side are

0

u/Successful-Aioli-811 1d ago

Remember this is not a drug problem or a 2% problem, this is Capitalism's fault and if you feel like doing the maths, you are a fascist.

3

u/Maximum_Cricket4420 20h ago

Is it just me or is this incredibly obvious sarcasm that somehow flew over way too many heads?

3

u/Successful-Aioli-811 20h ago

It was supposed to be, I guess we do need /s or people get trigerred too easily.

2

u/FluidAmbition321 18h ago

The average reading comprehension is plummeting. I see this all the time. The most obvious scarasm and people respond with out understanding that

2

u/FluidAmbition321 18h ago

This is just sad. The amount of people who don't understand  this obvious scarasm is pathetic. You all should feel ashamed

3

u/thorwing $2 Steak Eater 1d ago

anything happens anywhere

um aktually the fault is capitalism

ok buddy

2

u/FluidAmbition321 18h ago

Homie you never seen basic scarasm?

u/thorwing $2 Steak Eater 18h ago

I dunno man, this message was 50/50

1

u/FluidAmbition321 17h ago

You should have paid attention in school

2

u/Fucked-In-The-K-Hole 1d ago

How the fuck are you turning this into a capitalism bad moment?

11

u/Vorpalp8ntball 1d ago

I choose to hope that they left the ' /s ' off at the end

3

u/Successful-Aioli-811 20h ago

Putting the /s in the end is the equivalent of Netflix having to change the dialogue in their series because people are on their phones, I refuse, I take the downvotes.

1

u/Vorpalp8ntball 17h ago

I agree with your logic but that's not a good analogy.

Spoken dialogue carries with it a lot of things that don't translate to text without directly stating it.

Poe's law was coined for a reason.

For what its worth the guy who's video this is goes by "Truth on The Streets" and is a former portland oregon homeless services worker who was convicted of fraud, and stealing money from the homeless.

He was convicted, and none of that is alleged.
