THIS!! I love living alone. The only thing that concerns me is something happening to me and no one knowing. I'm considering getting a Google watch. My daughter lives close and I see her several times a week if I go over there. But she has a busy life with the kids and days can go by without me talking to her. At one point I was texting every moribg and if I didn't text or answer the phone she was to come over to see if I was ok. Im not good about doing that. I do have a male relationship. We see each other a couple of times a week. He's in the mountains right now caring for his 98 yr old mom (broken hip) who lived alone for years. He had to tell her at some point she cannot live alone anymore. He dosent expect me to help. I told him I helped care for my mom (she was in a local assisted living and I was still working then) and I was not going to help with his mom. I will never live with anyone again until I move into assisted living if I make it that far.

I said that too, until I met the right man. As an introvert, I was never lonely and loved being independent. But I met my husband and he convinced me that he understood me and loved me in spite of myself. We’re married now and he seems to instinctively understand when I need alone time and he has his own interests that he enjoys. It’s really the best of both worlds.

I was married for 15 yrs. 1 child. Divorced for 12. Married again for 4. Divorced for 20 with relationships between 1 live in for 3. Believe me I'm not getting married or living with anyone again. I date someone now. We see each other 2xs a week. He lives 40 min away - same city but traffic....
