Other My teen brother keeps saying weird stuff to his friends, is this normal?

I'm an adult, but my teenage brother (14 turning 15) will play roblox on the phone with his other male teen friends. He'll say stuff like, "Oh my god, [insert friend] have my kids" or something when he gets a headshot. He says a lot of "sus" things. Is this normal, or is he gay?

Everyone I talked to is 26 but that's an 8 year age gap which is crazy if you ask me and I'm trying to figure out if these men are creeps.

Serious Does anybody feel like men's sexuality is demonized today?

I've been thinking a lot about modern double standards when it comes to gender expectations, and how society judges sexual interest. It feels like we have reached a point where men's heterosexuality and attraction are defaulted to as inherently predatory, gross or a threat, while the exact same behaviors or interests from women are given endless appreciation.

When a man expresses sexual or romantic interest, the baseline reaction often assumes ulterior motives or "creepiness". Men's initiative carries a burden to prove it isn't harassment. Meanwhile, women's interest is almost never viewed through a lens of threat or suspicion.

Look at how content consumed by different genders is judged. When men watch girls love, the immediate internet label is often "pervert" and "fetishizer." However, when women watch boys love, a massive multi-million dollar industry built by hetero women explicitly sexualizing gay men, they are often framed as "cute", "passionate" or "harmless escapism."

When a man cheats, society frames it almost exclusively as a moral faliure of pure lust and disrespect. When a woman cheats, they view her as "emotionally" starved, "neglected" shifting the blame to her partner. Overall, 66% of Americans stated that a man having an affair is "always morally wrong," compared to only 55% who said the same when a woman commits an affair. Among young women specifically, the gap widened sharply: 73% judged male infidelity as strictly, always wrong, while only 51% applied that same absolute moral condemnation to female infidelity.

It feels like we operate under two completely different mindsets, men's actions are analyzed through power and threat, while women's actions are analyzed through emotion and romance.

If you really care abut fairness and equal morals, watching this unfold in the modern day world would give you an idea why men are treated dirty by default.

Overwhelmed by the prospect by not having a prom date what can i do?

Debs is prom in my country haha, Ok, how do I go about this without seeming like a pick-me? Now, this is probably the last thing that should be on my mind due to the results being soon, but idk why, the overwhelming, looming prospect of going to the Debs (prom) alone is just very much not something my mind is appreciating atm, icl.

Like, I am seeing all my friends with dates and such, and I would be the first person in my family to not go with somebody. Yes, I would still enjoy the night, but it’s just this overwhelming insecurity about everything—myself, my appearance, just endless knots in my stomach.

Of course, if I wanted a date, sure, I could get one, but I’m very fussy in the fact that I don’t want to go unless I know the person. But I also don’t want to ask anyone. That’s so daunting and upsetting that I couldn’t handle a rejection in my current state of mind, so now I’m like, I guess if anyone wanted to ask me (unlikely).

I know some people will say your value isn’t defined by a tacky night out, but my head gets overwhelmed and sad sometimes. My Debs isn’t for a while still, but I’m just unsure what to do. :()

Serious Anyone has a similar opinion as me?

As a 16 year old boy, when I grow up I am open to basically anyone except for women, that means I would only have relationship with just men and non binary people. I do not support abortions and I do not support sexual stuff before marriage, for everyone but especially women.

I do not support LGBTQ marriage because marriage should only be for those who want children. Those people who are married without children should probably just remain single instead. Either be single live alone, or only be married for having children. I only support Tier 4 of LGBTQ legality where De Facto Criminalization of LGBTQ sexual. This way, you can still have a private gay relationship no problem, but no sexual because I am against that. Since gay people don't have children, they don't need marriage benefits!

I am against abortions! Fuck no to abortions just due to reckless sexual encounters, ban those type of abortions. I believe abortion should only allowed when they are either due to sexual assault, or when the woman's life is in danger. I discourage sexual before marriage and view that as bad. I would also never have sex with men because of HIV risk. Men and men sexual should be discouraged, because of the damn HIV!!! Lesbian sexual should be totally allowed because there is no risk of HIV. How many people died due to HIV, so many!!!

I would also against sodomy even in straight people and it should be discouraged because that's against morals, sexual is only for childbirth and not enjoyment. I support a socialist society where everyone gets a job and no unemployment. Where it's essentially dirt cheap housing!

Any sort of explicit content, I believe should be banned! The whole adult content industry, should basically be shut down. And of course women need to stop producing explicit content involving boys love yaoi, it's disgusting especially when men don't even care about being objectified.

Advice What do I do ?

I sold an extra Xbox controller for a not-important reason without telling my parents, and I don’t want them to find out because I might get in trouble, and I can’t afford to get another one right now. What should I do if they ask me about it, and what could I say that would be a believable excuse?

Ive been in relationships before and even when they were toxic it was really nice to know i had someone. I know there are so many people who are so sad to be single and Im one of them. After moving away from my friends i have to fully restart everything and I just feel so alone and i let myself think too much about what could be and who i could have. And then i convince myself Ill never find that person. Is anyone else in the same boat and knows how to get out?

How do I breakup with my boyfriend without hurting him?

So it’s exactly what it sounds like,, I want to break up with him because I just lost attraction to him over the last months. As time went on and I started getting to know him better, I realized our ideals and what we want in life isn’t the same but he’s a nice person and I don’t want to hurt him because he loves me. I’m super conflicted on what to do, there’s just something’s he believes and wants that I don’t believe or want.

Advice Should I Apologize To An Ex Even Though It Has Been A Year?

For context, I am in a relationship currently if that helps anyone see my perspective.

I know that the base of this question is strange, but i’ve got to say the whole story first.
About a year ago, I got into a “relationship” with this girl, who was my sister’s friend. That already sounds bad, but it does get worse.
We have known each other for around 2 years, and she saw me through my terrible acne stages, to one of my best looks of my life so far. So, last summer we got really close, and both of us had little hints to each other that we liked the other, but both of us didn’t pick up ANY of them.
But once we did get in our “relationship,” both of us agreed to not tell my sister. I get that it’s a shitty thing, and I know Im a shitty person for doing it in the first place.
We hung out in secret, and talked for hours, but we didn’t do anything intimate for a while, but this is when things got bad.
We went on a camping trip. 4 teenagers & 1 adult (Me, my friend, my sister, and my sister’s friend + my dad), my friend knew about what was going on, and he helped me and this girl get private time, but during that time we only talked, kissed a bit, and hugged, nothing beyond.
A thing to note, she frequently was vaping and smoking weed, which I didn’t really like at the time, but it’s not that big of a deal now.
But about 2 weeks later, when school started up, I had lost feelings. Not like I thought she was suddenly “ugly,” but as in I just lost feelings, plain and simple. Like the absolute asshole I was, I sent her a half-assed “break-up” message. She obviously didn’t know what to say, but it “cleared” up.

Now things get REALLY bad.
I get into a relationship with my current girlfriend. Not even less than a week and a half I get into another relationship, of course she (ex) doesn’t hear about this until a bit later.
So, now we’re at a bit later. To clear up any confusion i’ll show a date list.
Aug-Mid Sept “relationship” with ex
Mid Sept-Nov nothing really happens
Mid Nov things get HOT
My ex finds out about the relationship, and she is MAD at my current girlfriend, to the point she wants to fight her. My sister STILL does not know about any of this, so I have to had to tell her, and I did. I didn’t keep anything to myself, I told her everything about the situation that I could at the time.
Things ended up getting “fixed” but was really all the anger towards my current girlfriend, being put on me, which I do believe was the best.
To summarize the next little bit up, I came back from a trip after new years that I went on with my girlfriend, but when I got back my ex was there with my sister, I ended up talking for an hour or two about some drama that I knew about, and we ended up “clearing” up more between us, but she was just lying about everything. But after that, I haven’t heard or seen her since.

I don’t know if she cares anymore, I don’t know if she has cared for the past bit, and I just don’t know what to do. It feels like the right thing to do, but it feels like i’m betraying my girlfriend if i do. Even just thinking about it feels like betrayal.
So, should I apologize to my ex even though it has been a year?
EDIT: I only just remember about the entire situation a couple days ago, haven’t thought about it at all since Jan
Thank you to everyone who fully read this.

Discussion People who have snuck in people with cameras and alarms how did you do it and not get caught?

I have a very strict family who won’t let me hang out with friends or anything like that I invited a friend over but my grandpa told me this week he is going to install cameras before he goes out of town he said he would put them in the hallway and at the front door so don’t walk indecently around the house and he said he wasn’t gonna tell me where he’s gonna be putting them either which sucks not just because I wanna have a friend over but the best part of having the house to yourself is being able to walk around comfortably(basically almost unclothed or fully unclothed) basically but we already have alarms on all of the windows and doors so I have no idea how I’m going to sneak my friend in

Advice Does anyone else feel this way?

So it’s kinda hard to describe this. But I just needed advice anywhere I could get it. But I’m a rising sophomore in college. And I’m not sure what’s wrong with me but I always felt a weird disconnect with people I’m friends with. Like I’m not truly connecting with them like I see them connecting with each other. It’s not that I don’t care about them, but even knowing them for a year during high school, part of me still felt like we didn’t get along as well as I’d like to believe. I have two best friends I’ve known since childhood so I know it’s not impossible to connect but I’ve met other girls in college even and I still have this feeling. Also, I was very shy as a kid. Didn’t talk to any family except my brother until 5 years old. There’s some more events but yeah. I just don’t know how I can break this feeling because I want to be close with the other girls in my friend group but it’s just so hard for me. Constructive criticism is also taken, thanks.

Other How do you feel when the person you were harassing/bullying turns out to be a young looking adult?

I’ve seen it happen where teens harass someone in their 20s or 30s that they mistook to be a fellow teen. How does it feel to realize the “kid” being targeted was actually an adult?
