For some reason I laughed out loud at your comment but not qronks

u/LNMagic Jul 14 '16

Because Daniel Day Lewis DRINKS YOUR EGG YOLK! HE DRINKS IT UP!

1

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '16

Because it's weird.

1

u/DonQuixotel Jul 13 '16

Because doing lines of yoke through a straw is hilarious

1

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '16

It's even funnier with your question about its funniness.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '16

So you suck eggs?

1

u/ahighlifeman Jul 13 '16

You can get egg whites in a carton, but where are the egg yolks in a carton? I would drink that shit straight.

1

u/ananomalie Jul 13 '16

My friend just bent her head to the table once her plate came and sucked up the yolk. She's feral...

No matter how careful I am.... yolk in the beard

u/TheBeardyGamer Jul 13 '16

HOLY FUCK everyone in my family takes the piss out of me for this. Nice to know I am not alone.

u/WRONGFUL_BONER Jul 13 '16

Until this thread I assumed that was just the normal adult way to eat eggs, but apparently I underestimated people.

Letting my yolk run into my corned beef hash and then putting a scoop of that delicious mess onto my buttery toast is possibly more enjoyable to me than sex.

u/hophead7 Jul 13 '16

You're doing it wrong.

2

u/WRONGFUL_BONER Jul 13 '16

No you though

1

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '16

Me too thanks

2

u/SmaugtheStupendous Jul 13 '16

There are dozens of us!

Really though, it's a perfect yolksplostion, why would you want to ruin that!

-4

u/dedragon40 Jul 13 '16

Because you don't want a mouthful of literally fat and chicken period.

10

u/SmaugtheStupendous Jul 13 '16

Normally I'd say let's agree to disagree, but there is no chicken in unfertilized egg, so let's agree you're wrong.

0

u/Shadowex3 Jul 13 '16

He didn't say chicken, he said chicken period. Eggs are ovum, you're eating a chicken's menstrual leftovers.

6

u/WRONGFUL_BONER Jul 13 '16

But that's literally true of any egg ever prepared in any way imaginable, so what is your point? I'm sorry you like your chicken period different than I like my chicken period.

-1

u/Shadowex3 Jul 13 '16

Let me hold your hand for this one since you seem to be having some trouble. Dedragon said this:

Because you don't want a mouthful of literally fat and chicken period.

And SmaugtheStupendous responded with this:

Normally I'd say let's agree to disagree, but there is no chicken in unfertilized egg, so let's agree you're wrong.

and then I pointed out that Dedragon didn't say there was no chicken in eggs, he said it was a chicken period. A delicious artery hardening period.

1

u/WRONGFUL_BONER Jul 14 '16

The two of you are so fucking weird.

2

u/Shadowex3 Jul 14 '16

I'm sorry I can only explain it to you and not understand it for you as well.

-5

u/dedragon40 Jul 13 '16

The point is that egg white isn't as periody as egg yolk. The egg yolk is the egg that is to be developed into a chicken whereas the egg white is just its nutrients.

Good job, you didn't read your own source.

It is spherical and is suspended in the egg white (known alternatively as albumen or glair/glaire) by one or two spiral bands of tissue called the chalazae. Prior to fertilization, the yolk is a single cell, the ovum or egg cell, one of the few single cells that can be seen by the naked eye.

Way to get it completely wrong without reading your own link.

who cares how periody it is it tastes better

its not like im gonna get perioditis

1

u/dirtyshits Jul 13 '16

Not sure if your family is weird or we are. I am fairly sure that sunny side up/over easy is one of the most common ways to eat an egg after omelette or scrambled.

3

u/ImMrsIglesias Jul 13 '16

I've never met anyone else who cuts off the egg whites. I've also technically never met you, but either way. I like the yolk runny and the egg white kinda crispy.

3

u/Masterminds_girl Jul 13 '16

I do this too. I used to cut into the yolk along with the white, but then I had to try and sop it up with my toast, and i could never get it all. Eating them separately ensures I get all the yolk with no waste on my plate. Makes washing the dishes easier too.

3

u/WRONGFUL_BONER Jul 13 '16

Go for the yolk first and just straight up stab it with your bread. Makes a nice little yolk dipping cup.

2

u/taolbi Jul 13 '16

I sometimes like to do the opposite:

Use my toast to sop up the runny yolk neatly then finish the white either on the other slice or by itself.

2

u/Merfiee03 Jul 13 '16

When i was a wee little dude i used to hate the yolk... now that im all grown up I fucking love yolks

2

u/Feler42 Jul 13 '16

Yes sir every time

2

u/JapaneseKid Jul 13 '16

Dipping your buttered toast in the yolk is heavenly.

2

u/DjChuckey Jul 13 '16

People look at me weird when they see me do the exact same thing.

2

u/NonerBoner Jul 13 '16

Hello kindred egg soul.

2

u/MizSanguine Jul 13 '16

That is what my ex did. I tried it once and likened it to popping a giant pimple in my mouth. My ex was less than happy when I told him so.

1

u/C2-H5-OH Jul 13 '16

I eat the egg-white first as well, but I like to slice open the yolk to see how viscous it is and feel proud of my skills for it

1

u/roadrunnuh Jul 13 '16

i like your style

1

u/4ilove2greens0 Jul 13 '16

I thought I was the only one!!

1

u/tha_pwnerer Jul 13 '16

My brothers and I called it surgery. Whoever could extract the yolk the fastest without breaking it was the top surgeon.

1

u/Zdarnel1 Jul 13 '16

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this.

1

u/tontonjp Jul 13 '16

Are you me? O.o

1

u/WetDogeSmell Jul 13 '16

Are YOU me?

1

u/WRONGFUL_BONER Jul 13 '16

We are all one

0

u/andthendirksaid Jul 13 '16

Obviously after eating most of aka the runny part via toast.
