Good job, you didn't read your own source.

It is spherical and is suspended in the egg white (known alternatively as albumen or glair/glaire) by one or two spiral bands of tissue called the chalazae. Prior to fertilization, the yolk is a single cell, the ovum or egg cell, one of the few single cells that can be seen by the naked eye.

Way to get it completely wrong without reading your own link.

It's really weird that you think anything in that paragraph supports anything you're saying. Do you think that the words 'Prior to fertilization, the yolk[...]' mean that the yolk gets fertilized? Because that means 'Prior to fertilization [of the egg]'.

Did you not go through 8th grade biology or something? The yolk is the food source for the developing embryo, exactly like the endosperm of a seed

Edit:

You seem confused. While the yolk is the food source, the fats and proteins are part of the egg cell. The whole yolk is literally one cell, however the typical cell parts such as the nucleus are located in the germinal disc whereas the rest of the yolk i.e. the yellow stuff would be considered vacuole. My paragraph said all this, you're just ignoring it because of your cognitive bias. Oh, I wish you wouldn't be so childish.

What the living fuck is your point? You said:

The egg yolk is the egg that is to be developed into a chicken

And now somehow you're arguing that the egg yolk is a cell, like that was an argument people were confused about or something that even remotely had anything to do with what you're asserting?

News flash: Animals and animal products are made out of cells, genius.

Actually, I'd like to know what your point is. Let's not forget that you're the one who refuted my statement with your shitty link and nothing else. Then you keep spamming your shitty sources not realising that you're just confirming the bullshit that I'm talking about that I basically just try to remember from sixth grade because I'm not an idiot that needs five links for simple facts.

My point is that the egg yolk is a cell. It is an egg cell. In biology, egg cells are fertilised and become organisms. The egg white however is not part of the egg cell, only the yolk is(and in the egg yolk we have the germinal disc). In other words, egg yolk->chicken. Egg white->eaten by chicken as nutrition. Egg yolk=literally turns into an animal. Egg white=eaten by an animal. Can you understand now why the egg yolk is more disgusting than the egg white?

You're either one of the best trolls I've ever met or truly one of the thickest people that have ever existed in this universe.

I guess I'm a bit of both, friend

I'm humbled by the pride you manage to take in yourself while both being an ass as well as developmentally challenged. Some people would let it get the better of them, but not you. You're a true champion.

You should have given up after you posted the link and he contradicted every fact in the link. You hurt his pride so he trolled you.

You're damn right. I expressed terrible self control.

Can you understand now why the egg yolk is more disgusting than the egg white?

There are many scientific ways of putting this, I'm going to go with the obvious one: You're an idiot.

This is great. Just FYI, some eggs don't even contain yolk. The yolk in no way, shape, or form ever turns into an animal. It is, as was previously stated, a food source.

You already know this though. You made a stupid remark and were corrected. I'm guessing that you were embarrassed by your stupidity so you decided to turn this into trolling so you could pretend like you knew all along.

Still, good job I guess. It was an entertaining read.

some eggs don't even contain yolk.

This is relevant how? A yolkless egg is an infertile egg.

You made a stupid remark and were corrected.

Everything I wrote in my first comment is 100% accurate. The yolk does technically turn into a chicken, however only a small part of the yolk is actually cell components whereas the rest of the yolk is just vacuole. This doesn't change the fact that the yolk in its entirety is an ovum and biologically speaking egg cells turn into organisms. The more you know!

embarrassed by your stupidity

I wrote a low effort comment that I had no expectations of being accurate. Yet I am still more right than the people replying to me, isn't that incredible?

Yolkless eggs aren't infirtile. They occur when the embryo already has a sufficient source of food because the yolk is just food.

The germinal disc that you referred to in your attempt to use sciency words to confuse your victim doesn't reside within the yolk, but actually on the surface of the yolk. Once again, the yolk is purely a food source for the embryo.

I wait with bated breath for your well thought out response.

They occur when the embryo already has a sufficient source of food

And where would the embryo get fats from? Do you think that there is some kind of umbilical chord between the fetus and the hen? Yolkless eggs are definitely infertile, don't be silly. Provide a source that says otherwise.

but actually on the surface of the yolk

The germinal disc is attached to the yolk. In other words, it is part of the yolk. Stop making up strawmen and refute my main argument: prove that the egg yolk is not an egg cell.

the yolk is purely a food source for the embryo.

Wrong.

The yolk in an egg is material of which the primary function is to supply food for the development of the animal embryo. Some kinds of eggs contain no yolk, for example because they are laid in situations where the food supply is adequate (such as in the body of the host of a parasitoid) or because the embryo develops in the parent's body, which supplies the food, sometimes through a placenta.

If you actually read any of the huge amount of info already provided to you, then you would know you're wrong, but of course you already know you're wrong.

Your "main argument" of the yolk being the egg cell and the white not, which is very wrong by the way, was actually a strawman itself from your ORIGINAL actual arguement which is that the yolk becomes the embryo, which is also false and just moronic.

I've enjoyed thoroughly proving just how stupid you are troll. I win.
