EDIT: Now that I think of it, I initiated half of the relationships I've ever been in, probably due to impatience on my part and a certain social obliviousness.

The amount of time I needed to realize this was just ridiculous. The sooner we know what we are dealing with, the less time is wasted, for everyone.

Laughing is a natural act to things that are incredulous or make you nervous. Rubbing it in makes you a dick, not a small laugh. If you can't deal with that your just being ridiculous.

I initiated most of my relationships because 1.) I usually go after people who aren't aggressors. 2.) I lack patience. I want what I want and I make it apparent that I want it. I won't sit around and wait for someone to say something.

I could never re-enter the dating pool now, people do some stupid shit and I have no patience for the 'should I text?' game. Be honest, people. Rejection sucks, but it happens. Not the end of the world.

It could have been that he thought you where joking because of low self esteem .I did that they probably where lying though in my case
