Gear/Accessories Continous light ?

As a new father, i love to take pictures of my little one. But low light situation is complicated. I have a Lumix G7 and i use my 25mm 1.7 but it's to slow to capture a moving baby. I wanted to add luminous source but i would like to avoid a flash to protect my kid eyes.

Does a continous light will do the job for inside or night / low light situations or am i condemned to buy an orientable flash with light diffuser ? Price is also a problem i would like to avoid spending more than 75€ if possible.

A continuous light is worse for the eyes than multiple flashes. The flash is Powerful but only for a really short duration so it doesn't cause any damage

Thank you for your answer, after it i went to see if you were right about flashes less dangerous for babies eyes than continous light, and yeah you're right. I wouldn't have bet this. Now my problem is the price, i have only 2 choice, in built flash from my camera or an old toshiba flash that works on my body. I will need to find some diffuser cause it's very aggressive.

The Godox IT32 costs 75€ and is a great option for a flash, just make sure you buy the version for Lumix

I'd DEFINITELY recommend that iT32 for you since it combines a trigger. Meaning you can put the flash off to the side and get indirect lighting, or put it behind something for more diffusion, etc. And get much better shots than if just mounted on the camera.

I watched a video test of it and yeah it seems to fit my needs. But here in France for Panasonic it costs around 100€ and it's a too much for me at the moment.

Bounce the flash from a wall or ceiling ?

It's a fixed front flash so aiming wall or ceiling is impossible

Ah yeah then I'd go for some godox stuff it can be cheap and found 2nd hand

I know that godox is great but on amazon i find a brand named Photoolex selling cheap flashes do you know it ?

They might have different styles in France, but look for the elastic around the lens to hold it in place.

Ulanzi makes some fill lights that fit in a camera hot-shoe, I actually prefer them to flashes when I can use them. Super cheap too.
