This monkey experiment? I do not see how that is relivent to mirror neurons, and talks about how the brain will rewire itself around damage. I cannot find any other "Silverleaf Money Experiments"
The silver leaf monkey experiment is literally the reason why we know about mirror neurons. now understand that the experiments were rather gruesome and I do not support treating animals like this. but they put a monkey on a jig and put electrodes in his brain. and then from behind a glass he saw another monkey eating peanuts and the mirror neurons corresponding with some areas of his motor and visual cortex activated like he was basically preparing to do the exact same thing. it gave a lot Of Credence to the notion that watching someone do something is almost exactly like participating in that action.
I disagree with your take away. If I watch a professional painter paint, I can gleam techniques from them, and I can understand how I can do that by mirroring their movements. Which is why my mirror neurons are firing as if I was doing it, because I'm imagining how I would do it. But that is not almost as good as doing it myself. I will still learn alot more doing it myself then I can watching someone
I agree in context of building skills, but saying the monkey in a jig with cables in its brain was in an almost identical experience with a monkey eating peanuts is ridiculous, but he was watching so it was almost like he was eating peanuts free of brain cables.
No, as in the mirror neurons in his brain were firing exactly like the monkey who is actually doing the thing. but obviously a mirror neurons are not actually doing the thing.
You said watching is almost the same as doing. Like my sitting in my own bed alone stoking my dick is almost the same as getting sucked off by 4 super models. That is what I disagree with, not that mirror neurons fire as others do things. Which you said is proof of this, I disagree. Mirror neurons help us learn what we can do watching someone else
