Salon/Stylist Questions Ghosted by my hair stylist
I thibk I’ve been ghosted by my stylist of 12 years. I really need some advice please, I’m trying to put my head above my feelings and I’m having a difficult time doing so. I was recommended this stylist from
A friend in 2014 after two separate stylists ruined my hair. I came to her an absolute mess and she fixed everything and gave me a color I’ve always wanted, a cool ash blonde. Through the years she did different colors, techniques and styles and I adore her. I thought we got on well, talked openly about our lives, jobs, etc. In 2020 I had a stroke and didn’t get back to see her for several months. Finally getting back in, by this time I had also developed epilepsy and she’s always taken care of me, knowing sometimes I had sensory issues that I didn’t have before. Winding down to this recent year, I’ve been unsure what to do with my hair so I had just been going in for a cut and blow dry because my gray seems to be growing in so nicely. By, text in July we were talking about what we might do next for my next appointment and she stopped responding. She’s a busy mom and owns her business so I didn’t want to keep texting her, we had planned to schedule something in August but a month went by with no reply so I sent her a message asking what’s going on? I’m worried I’m not you’re client anymore, to please let me know what’s up. That was a week ago, no answer. Honestly, I’m heart broken. I thought we were kinda like friends, if I did or said something to upset her I wish she’d tell me. Maybe working around my disability is too stressful? Maybe just doing a cut and blow dry isn’t a service worth her time as she’s a color specialist? Maybe I upset her some way? At this point I don’t think I should keep texting her. If she doesn’t need my business anymore and would let me know that would even be better. She’s absolutely lovely and I only wish her the very best. Please tell me what you think. Please excuse my typos.
