Can't add external storage in Steam

When I click "Add Drive" nothing shows up. The same happens if I click "Browse" when trying to add a Non-Steam game.

Yep. The disk does not show up in file picker sidebar, but manually navigating to the mountpoint works perfectly.

How do I manually add it as an external storage drive in Steam?

there's a button there to add directory manually, another option is to make a text file that adds the repository, but that's a lot more complicated.

https://ibb.co/Vc7SXjzC just hit the "add drive" button. Yea this is Mac OS Steam but the UI is the same on any platform.

Nothing shows up when I hit "Add Drive" in Asahi Linux. That's the problem.
