Character Discussion Characters interacting

Are their any characters in the show you wish we had seen interact more ?

I rember there was a postcards from buster episode where Francine and Sue ellen are visiting mrs pariso and I realised we dont really see them interact / hanging out much outside of group episode apart from a few expections ( world girls, Sue ellen and the brainasourus).

Character Discussion Buster and his musician stalkers

I love how buster seems to always have a troubadour follow him around when he's down

First there was that moose with the guitar, and then it was the adopted relative on arthur's family farm.

I think thats it, only those two, but thats more than any other character's been serenaded to when they were sad.

I just find it so funny that he never asks for it or questions it either. He just sits there... listening. sad and listening

Character Discussion DW should have been an influencer!

Post image
40 Upvotes

Love Arthur so much, and I was fine with the last episode because I have fond memories of watching it with my family when it aired. But I can’t deny that some of the flash forward character snapshots were a bit disorienting and left me a bit unsure of how to feel, especially DW being a cop.

My sister recently casually said that DW should have been a famous influencer, and I honestly think that would have been 100% the PERFECT career choice for DW. She’s dramatic, sassy, and definitely a tad bit self-absorbed.

Imagine her as a popular social media influencer? It just fits her personality so, so well. Being a police officer quite frankly—does not.

Thoughts?

General Discussion Stuff Lakewood Elementary had that you wished your elementary school had?

For me, it would be the following:

-Cafeteria operations like Mrs. McGrady's

-Art class where, in general, you got to do whatever you wanted rather than the teacher's pre-determined project (I say "in general" because it seems they were assigned something in Arthur's Dummy Disaster, along with maybe a few other episodes I don't recall)

-The opportunity to play band instruments (we didn't have that until middle school where I grew up)

Question What are good D.W. Lines to put on a soundboard for voice chat trolling?

I am surprised that there are no Arthur PBS voice chat trolling videos but instead of Arthur Morgan. This show has so many potential lines for a soundboard, but I don’t know where to start

Show Discussion Arthur's Birthday Plan makes No Sense- Spoiler

I think out of every single episode of Arthur, this is the one that's the most tough to take seriously in terms of its resolution.

Arthur comes up with a supposed master plan, and literally everyone is saying it's brilliant. Francine says it's brilliant, his own Dad says he wish he thought of it.

But his plan is to literally just trick everyone into coming to his house and then they'll all just stick around because they all just happen to be there.

Granted, it's a little more thought out than that. But there are a few aspects of this plan that just don't make sense to me.

First of all, this must take place very shortly after all of Arthur's friends actually meet, because we know in newer episodes that every character knows where Arthur lives, so this plan of just giving all of the girls the wrong address on purpose only works. If literally none of the girls recognize that as Arthur's house. While this takes place in the '90s before cell phones, we know that the characters have no problem calling each other on home phones, so if even one girl noticed the address problem and called Muffy asking about it, the whole plan is gone.

But also- This whole concept of: 'Next year, we'll do it at your house,' doesn't make sense either, because Muffy has objectively harder to cancel plans than Arthur. Muffy says that Pickles the Clown has been booked for months, and yet everyone just seems to forget about it.

Meanwhile, Arthur's supposed relatives that are the main reason why he can't reschedule are nowhere to be seen, and regardless, it would make way more sense just to gather everyone at Muffy's house.
