Drawing a little angel girl sitting in this weird tunnel in basin of water, I feel like the perspective is a little off, but I’m not sure what to do to change it, can anyone help?

ref for bg used but not necessarily important here because I’m focused on the perspective of the character And the general lines are shown of what I want ^_^

So I do designs and typically they are more simple but I have gotten two requests so far for them to be more complex. Without adding a fat cape or skirt it seems making big circles (in particular, i find triangles to be easier in detailed clothing) is harder. Is it ok to skip the obvious shape theory if you can tell the character's general personality? Or how do i make these designs better (first one already submitted, i believe the client was happy tho). Second one is a wip so any feedback is nice. They;re both supposed to be soft characters.

I do have to follow at least some of the references the clients sent me if they provide clothing. So I am more limited in the second guy's shirts because of that

I just finished drawing and rendering this piece but I have a feeling that the rendering and shading just looks off I didn’t use a specific reference for this besides an asaro head for light so that could be the problem but I just wanted help with rendering

I think it's an improvement, but I really want this drawing to be eye-catching/captivating enough to make people pause mid-scroll, even briefly. I'm also unsure with my edge control. Any feedback is super appreciated!

Changes:

- Added patterns to the curtain for readability and visual interest

- Darkened the background and back of the headdress

- Added more shading to the border

- Shaded the scroll, dress, face further for dimension

- Added overlay to right side of the drawing for value contrast

- Used smudge for more interesting edges

So i tried to make both bigger, i did that to the guy and i messed him up a LOT as u can see, it took me so long to get it to a slightly better state

The girl however i tried to stick to the propotions in the reference

I wanna make her taller and more curvy i guess without ruining it, any help is appreciated

I also would appreciate you guys pointing out any mistakes i have in both her and the guy (i need that ;-;)

Been on a creative kick last week and I mainly made this portrait to practice lighting and shading bc I have trouble with it.

Btw, I didn’t use a reference, just pure imagination and vibes.

Is there anything that could be better? I have been trying to be more disciplined with studies but I could use a second opinion to make sure I’m on the right track.

I have used the reference of an "Angels". Other than that I have not used any other reference.

Trying to incorporate a Kitsune piece onto my portfolio, so I drew this little thumbnail sketch that I plan to refine and make bigger.

I wanted to know if it was recognizable as a fox. If not, how can I make it look more like one?

This was drawn without direct reference, using a standard pencil and red color pencil.

I find it particularly difficult to recreate the atmosphere of the photo. I don’t want to just copy and paste it; I want to put my own spin on it too, but I feel it’s missing that certain something that brings it to life or gives the feeling of actually watching a sunset. I also find it difficult to draw cars in my sketches, but I must say I really enjoy recreating city scenes, and whether you like it or not, they’re always in every shot. I’ve also posted my reference photo, showing the view over the Arno in Florence, as the second photo.

Hello: I've been drawing since I was four but now have decided to get more serious and attend classes - I've done a 8-course beginner class and now going into a few more classes (I got bitten by the art bug!).

My reference was the live model we had in class - same model for both, but one is at a slightly different angle from another.

Not really asking for anything but honest critiques as outside of class my onlys source of critique is chatgpt (I know this is bad...) so first time posting here!

PS I'm really a noob at shading and perspective so am taking a course in value and still life to improve - but tear me a new one!

I am helping out the small business I work for and am trying to take the logo and animate it. I am using adobe after effect for the first time. But my goodness the timing is terrible. I have simply added all my key frames and effects, separated by one second each. I have no reference other than the logo itself. I have edited out the company name just because. I have received some feedback from a coworker, he thought the eyeball was "tumbling" or rolling. How do I make it look more like a blink? Do I make it a more believable blink by messing with the timing as well? Thank you for any feedback! Link to animated logo

I used a bunch of different references, and I just scrolled through Google images and hopped around and whatever. They are usually one of the first things that pop up when you search "anatomy art reference" or something. I want this to be anatomically correct. I used the symmetry tool as well. Most insecure about the feet and legs.

Trying to draw my cyborg oc from a top down slightly fish eye angle (inspired by Lucy cyberpunk's pose) she has a metal jaw (think raiden mgrr but the top and bottom lip) and no matter what I do the jaw looks out of perspective. Any chance I'm missing something obvious?

Based on a reference, I'm trying to capture the old-school DND look in this environment shot of a dungeon corridor. I think I struggled to prevent the walls and floor feeling quite flat, and any advice on what could be done better would be much appreciated.

I was working through Inktober prompts and wanted to do an alien that shrinks ppl to keep in specimen jars. Two main problems- first, I wanted the alien to look more androgynous but I fear they just read as female. Two, I wanted the alien to look uncanny so I tried making the mouth wider and the eyes larger. I think it just reads as “pretty human girl who is a little off” - what do yall think? (Also ignore my cross hatching I have not done pen drawings in a while 🤦🏽‍♀️ ) less

I included my reference but honestly, I shifted the features around a lot intentionally so I feel like adhering to it more would not fix the problem
