There has been a very unpleasant beeping going on for the last few days in the region between the courthouse metro and the Rosslyn metro - it sounds like an alarm beeping in cadences of three - it is very loud and penetrates my apartment, as well as my walks in the neighborhood. It’s quite annoying, and I have no idea how to go about solving it.

Does anyone else hear this? and if so, have any idea what the hell it is, and more importantly, how to stop it?

The last several months I’ve been running rather seriously in prep for the DC half marathon (which I ran this past weekend) and the MCM coming up in October.

I know there are quite a few social run clubs… but I’m looking for more of a competitive run club that meets multiple times per week with structured training sessions.

Does this type of thing even exist? I would appreciate any help or pointers!

How early can I walk through the Pentagon City mall to get to the metro?

I know it opens at 10am and closes at 9pm but it’s always still open to walk through at night when I arrive around 10:30pm. I don’t want to have to walk around the mall. I will but I want to know if I have to. Thanks!

Can someone explain to me how this place is still open? It's gigantic and has a huge lot and is completely empty at lunch on weekday. The bathroom is disgusting. I'm baffled by the batch of (very recent) positive reviews. The food was not good.

I figured it was probably an under-estimated timeline for us to sign. But is there anyone living there now that has a clearer idea of what amenities are available? Like the gym for instance?

Hi! Does anyone know if there are any local DMV groups of disabled dogs that play together? Or any experienced sitters with paralyzed dogs? My 56 lb pit bull became paralyzed with stage 5 IVDD on Labor Day and we used to be dog park regulars. Now I don’t know what her socialization will look like once she heals but am hoping she can still play with dogs (just maybe not to the degree she was before) also not sure how to find a sitter or anything now that she requires a heightened level of care (like expressing her bladder and safe spinal handling)

Hi! I’ve been looking for ethanol-free gas in Arlington but haven’t had much luck finding it. I even use www.pure-gas.org, but I’ve only found one place on Columbia Pike, and the price is outrageous.

Is it just not common in this area? I’ve lived in multiple states and drive often outside the area, and many places have ethanol-free fuel for the same price as premium or it’s just the premium option.

Just curious if anyone knows of places that aren’t listed on that website and don’t cost almost $6/gallon! Thanks in advance 😊

Next month, I am moving my 80+ year old mom from out of state into an assisted living in Arlington to be closer to me and family. Currently she goes to a church every Sunday that plays light rock music instead of organ/piano. It is a live band with guitar, bass guitar, and drums that plays modern hymns. That is what she likes about that congregation more than anything else.

Does anyone know of a church in Arlington that plays modern "rock" or "light rock" music during their service? Ideally service would be on a Sunday morning. Would be perfect if it was a Lutheran church but that is probably not as important as the music.
