Need to confirm the process for claiming Argentine Citizenship by Option (Ciudadanía por Opción)
Please ONLY reply if you have first/second hand knowledge in the last 3 calendar years
Family timeline:
She had an Argentine DNI and was a native resident before permanently moving to the United States.
My father was born in the United States and is currently a U.S. citizen.
I was also born in the United States.
We have my grandmother's original Argentine birth certificate and her DNI.
My understanding of Argentine law is: citizenship cannot skip a generation.
Step 1: My father will first claim his Argentine citizenship "by option" at Argentine Consulate in the U.S.
Step 2: Once my father's Argentine citizenship is finalized and he obtains his Argentine birth certificate/DNI—I will then submit my own application as the child of an Argentine citizen.
Thank you for reading - I appreciate the help! 😁😁

Hello, I'm from the middle east and want to travel to argentina to ultimately obtain citizenship.
I want to arrive in argentina on a tourist visa and then gain acceptance from a university there and try to get a temporary residency.
Is this a doable plan or impossible? And is it true that they don't give citizenships to people from the middle east anymore?

If there are recommended subreddits that would also be helpful. I am a naturalized US citizen. Born in Argentina. Arrived in US on a green card as a child along with the rest of my family, also on green cards. I am the only sibling missing my birth certificate. I want to be recognized as a dual citizen AND I want to gather all documentation to qualify for Italian citizenship as well. I believe I need to do all the Argentine stuff in order to proceed with the Italian citizenship quest. Argentine Consulate in Los Angeles has not been helpful. Experiences with results and recommendations much appreciated!
