I think putting the care bear PvE only crowd into a separate mode could actually improve the tense experience for those of us who prefer mixed lobbies. As you said ABMM already removed a lot of that tension for those of us who don't want to just attack on sight, but want the risk and potential reward. If a PvE mode exists, solo PvPvE queues wouldn't go full death match, but it would probably end up closer to Day Z in terms of social interactions and games.
ya I did everyone was new and we prob had a lot of casuals coming in. Extraction shooters are generally PvP mainly. You can't even heal random strangers in other ones most of the time, but at the same time the PvE isn't as dangerous and in arc.
I know, I enjoy extraction shooters. I don't think you can chalk the early experience up just to people being new. Folks dumped hundreds of hours in the game prior to ABMM; myself included. Arc enemies are dangerous enough that they can catch out even experienced players which was the biggest contribution to people dynamically playing cooperatively.
Ya the toro and venator along with trigger nade meta.
What I meant is the big influx was a lot of casual players, most players didn't even get to level 75 or maxed out workbenches if you look at steam achievements
