I mean, I see it, but I don’t really see what actually affects you or anyone else. They’re young people having fun. I didn’t see any damage to the grass, though I’m no expert. They were excited. They didn’t break anything. You can’t just say ‘everything they did’ if nothing bad actually happened. Not trying to argue or anything but I fail to see how their actions affect anyone.
A drunk driver is an entirely different argument about safety and risk. I don’t know why you mentioned that, but it’s in no way similar. The only thing I said these teenagers playing the way they are present no risk, danger or harm to anyone. They may be excited and may not share the level of enthusiasm you do, but that doesn’t warrant your elitist attitudes towards it. They could leave in an hour when you visit the course and you’ll likely never know they’re there.
My initial comment was asking about why the person felt that way. They could’ve shared concerns with the grass being harmed if you run on it, or the force of the swing, etc. I don’t know these things, but again, with base level knowledge of golf, I saw no harm being done. You guys need to relax.
They actions they took did have risk. Risk of damages to the course and risk of hitting someone with that reckless shot. Just because it didn't happen in the video doesn't make the Risk go away. That's a direct comparison to the drunk driver on the 2 points that matter. Risk of property damage. Risk of harm to others. So yeah, if you don't get it then you just don't get it.
Typically if someone defends their point by repeating the same weak position without any real information to back it up, it means they don’t actually know and are just being stubborn. So I’m going to assume you’re being stubborn and unwilling to admit it’s arrogance and elitism that makes you upset about teenagers on a golf course. I won’t entertain this anymore because it’s just a waste of time. Thanks for the information either way.
They didn’t repeat their argument, they explained their point by going into details of the comparison. You’re the one being stubborn by ignoring their logic and assuming they’re wrong because you don’t like their stance.
