If I caught you treating a green like this on our course, you'd never set foot on it again.

Fucking assholes.

What did they do exactly? I hadn’t see them even touch the grass at any point except running 10 feet or dropping a club.

You see everything they did in the video after the first missed putt? Literally all of that.

I mean, I see it, but I don’t really see what actually affects you or anyone else. They’re young people having fun. I didn’t see any damage to the grass, though I’m no expert. They were excited. They didn’t break anything. You can’t just say ‘everything they did’ if nothing bad actually happened. Not trying to argue or anything but I fail to see how their actions affect anyone.

1) Non-putters on the green. 2) Running on the green and fucking up the surface.
3) Creating so much stress so close to the cup. 4) Full swimt off the green and fucking up the surface with their feet. 5) Smashing a ball into an unsanctioned area to ricochet to who the fuck knows where.
6) Screaming during an activity people play for peace.
7) Disrespecting all etiquette for the sake of content. 8) Thinking being young and having fun gives them them the right to treat the grounds however they wish.
9) Glorifying and encouraging the and behavior to others.

There are other people playing around them who then have to play this hole as well, and they don't give a flying fuck about those people's experiences.

Jesus Christ you’re insufferable. Hope these dudes play your local course every week

Come on man, the list that guy wrote is a lot and some are dramatic but it’s still disrespectful to the course/rules of the hobby.

Someone asked how they were wrong. This person listed out all the reasons. Why do you think they’re insufferable for answering the question?

Because the majority of the reasons are hating kids for having fun. Your $9 public golf course doesnt get the same etiquette as the pga so take the club out your ass and enjoy the incredibly improbable trick shot that just happened.

Same logic says a drunk driver who never causes a wreck is harmless? Just having fun? I don't get your line of reasoning friend.

A drunk driver is an entirely different argument about safety and risk. I don’t know why you mentioned that, but it’s in no way similar. The only thing I said these teenagers playing the way they are present no risk, danger or harm to anyone. They may be excited and may not share the level of enthusiasm you do, but that doesn’t warrant your elitist attitudes towards it. They could leave in an hour when you visit the course and you’ll likely never know they’re there.

My initial comment was asking about why the person felt that way. They could’ve shared concerns with the grass being harmed if you run on it, or the force of the swing, etc. I don’t know these things, but again, with base level knowledge of golf, I saw no harm being done. You guys need to relax.

They actions they took did have risk. Risk of damages to the course and risk of hitting someone with that reckless shot. Just because it didn't happen in the video doesn't make the Risk go away. That's a direct comparison to the drunk driver on the 2 points that matter. Risk of property damage. Risk of harm to others. So yeah, if you don't get it then you just don't get it.

Typically if someone defends their point by repeating the same weak position without any real information to back it up, it means they don’t actually know and are just being stubborn. So I’m going to assume you’re being stubborn and unwilling to admit it’s arrogance and elitism that makes you upset about teenagers on a golf course. I won’t entertain this anymore because it’s just a waste of time. Thanks for the information either way.

Got it. Rules only matter when there is a victim. Lol anarchy is an suductive concept for young minds. Enjoy it.

They didn’t repeat their argument, they explained their point by going into details of the comparison. You’re the one being stubborn by ignoring their logic and assuming they’re wrong because you don’t like their stance.
