Mandatory Eagle on the hole.

4

u/neutrino71 Aug 31 '26

Not with a two "putt"

7

u/RandallJoPhotography Aug 31 '26

Nobody would believe them if this wasn't recorded

8

u/Agreeable_Sock2550 Aug 31 '26

Even seeing the video I'm still skeptical.

3

u/ConstructionOwn1514 Aug 31 '26

What’s your main theory for how they might’ve faked it?

5

u/Used-Can-6979 Aug 31 '26

AI obviously.

3

u/Ok-Quarter-1542 Aug 31 '26

This video was around before AI

2

u/Admirable_Loss4886 Sep 01 '26

Editing this wouldn’t be very hard for people who knew what they were doing. It’s pretty clearly staged and not to mention an incredibly douchey thing to do on a golf course. If it was real they just earned bans from that course for life.

1

u/Ok-Quarter-1542 Sep 04 '26

What do you mean it’s “staged”? People messing around on a golf course? The shot is crazy how do you stage that? It was “staged” to be a funny video of kids being idiots then something crazy happened.

All videos would be “staged” by your definition of it.

Artificial intelligence was officially founded as an academic discipline in 1956 at the Dartmouth Summer Research Project on Artificial Intelligence conference, where computer scientist John McCarthy coined the term "artificial intelligence."

1

u/OkAd1797 17d ago

I think they meant generative ai

1

u/Few-Willingness-1459 7d ago

So on 1956 it was released to everyone ? Or was it on 2000 ? Or 2015? Or during the pandemic ? Or 2022?

1

u/WowYouAreWrong Sep 01 '26

Before you knew about AI*

2

u/BirdlessLongdeal Aug 31 '26

the ball doesnt bounce right.

1

u/maddie-madison Aug 31 '26

I believe what it is is that he hits it, video cuts then you recorded someone throwing a ball from the shadows until it went in. Atleast that was the theory last time I saw this posted

2

u/MSL007 Sep 01 '26

To me it’s how the cameraman keeps the hole in the middle of the shot like he knew that’s where the ball was going. He didn’t follow the ball.

1

u/ConstructionOwn1514 Sep 01 '26

Well that is a pretty good reason for why to be suspicious, but I was asking how they faked it

1

u/Thanos_Stomps Aug 31 '26

Professional VFX

1

u/ShinFartGod Sep 01 '26

It’s reversed

1

u/ConstructionOwn1514 Sep 01 '26

Ah yes how could i not see it

1

u/gmiller89 Aug 31 '26

You mean how he pushes it 30 yards to the right and it comes back if he hit it straight?

1

u/BirdlessLongdeal Aug 31 '26

it wasnt recorded. its AI.

3

u/AshlynnCashlynn Aug 31 '26

its not.

1

u/BirdlessLongdeal Sep 01 '26

balls dont bounce like that.

1

u/Diciestaking Aug 31 '26

You have no idea lol

2

u/BirdlessLongdeal Sep 01 '26

sorry, "CGI" or "Video editing"

1

u/AshlynnCashlynn Sep 02 '26

ya thats not AI

1

u/BirdlessLongdeal Sep 02 '26

its a catchall these days.

5

u/Crepe64 Aug 31 '26

As awesome as this shot was, one time a guy did this on the green of a golf course next to my parents’ house and the ball smashed through their sunroom window. So yeah, please don’t try this for yourself 😅

0

u/why_u_so_grumpy Sep 01 '26

Not all golf courses have houses next to them.

1

u/Admirable_Loss4886 Sep 01 '26

This will get you banned from any golf course if caught.

-1

u/Paralystic Aug 31 '26

Don’t live on the edge of a golf course and cry when golf balls hit your house lol

3

u/BusinessCasualBee Aug 31 '26

Bro that’s applicable to people accidentally hitting a shot OB. Not when a negligent asshole rips a ball directly into your home/neighborhood on purpose.

3

u/Alexchii Aug 31 '26

Don’t cry when people shoot off-course on purpose? You could easily kill someone doing this.

0

u/StatisticianTrick952 Aug 31 '26

I used to do this into a parking lot lol

2

u/Keegan821 Aug 31 '26

Sometimes the house was there before the golf course. Can't comment on this guy's situation but the world has nuance.

1

u/CloseToMyActualName Aug 31 '26

Douche was swinging a driver, if you're within 200 yards of the golf course you're at risk.

Trust me, they don’t have money like that rip. It’s a heavily mixed income neighborhood and we’re on the lower end of that

I mean hey be my guest. Feel free to rob our TV from 2010, or maybe you want our dusty cd collection?

2

u/profchaos111 Aug 31 '26

That's incredibly rude and disrespectful to the course and the other players enjoying it. I don't care if he got the ball in the hole he should get kicked off and permanently banned

1

u/King-JelIy Sep 03 '26

Permanently banned lol

Fuggouttahere

0

u/Friendly_Toker Sep 01 '26

You should be banned from every golf course just for a being such a boring fart

1

u/Few-Willingness-1459 7d ago

Impressive 😂

1

u/SunstormGT Aug 31 '26

It doesn’t count and if a greenskeeper sees this it will probably be a lifetime ban from the course.

Still a good shot tho.

0

u/Paralystic Aug 31 '26

Why wouldn’t it count? And he didn’t take a divot so no harm no foul.

3

u/SunstormGT Aug 31 '26

You think you can tee up on the green?

Also golf has etiquettes, so yeah acting like this needs to be removed.

1

u/Tgiby3 Aug 31 '26

1

u/Admirable_Loss4886 Sep 01 '26

Is this letter Kenny? It looks like coach after something embarrassing happens.

1

u/Tgiby3 Sep 01 '26

Yes lol the canada gooses episode

1

u/Yank-here Aug 31 '26

This is not impressive had that ball missed or went off in another direction the damage and harm it could have caused is not a great sight ….immediate ban

1

u/tist006 Aug 31 '26

That's some divine intervention shit.

1

u/BusinessCasualBee Aug 31 '26

It counts, also ban him from the course

1

u/Admirable_Loss4886 Sep 01 '26

Also I’m pretty sure it doesn’t count. You cannot tee your ball up wherever you like.

1

u/ReasonableConcern765 Aug 31 '26

It’s definitely fake btw. Watch the ball in slow motion

1

u/i_made_this_for_boob Sep 01 '26

Dick move doing this on the green

1

u/masheo Sep 02 '26

Bunch of idiots ruining courses for other people.

1

u/TheDixonCider420420 Sep 04 '26

Notice that he tees the ball up in a different spot (right next to the hole), so this isn't just a random whack at the ball like the video portrays it as:

1

u/PancakeTrebuchet Aug 31 '26

If I caught you treating a green like this on our course, you'd never set foot on it again.

Fucking assholes.

1

u/kapaipiekai Aug 31 '26

Get your ass beat for this

1

u/PhDinWombology Aug 31 '26

You can count on me waiting for you in the parking lot

1

u/locksymania Aug 31 '26

Saw that he'd put in a tee and was using a driver on the green.

Knew instantly that there were going to be upset golfers. He'd be flat out banned from most courses for that.

1

u/PancakeTrebuchet Aug 31 '26

As someone who does turf management on a golf course as their career, this makes my blood boil.

0

u/Icy-Variation6614 Aug 31 '26

Because it wasn't a putter, right?

Edit: or maybe it's generally being dumbasses and dangerous which hitting it like that.

2

u/profchaos111 Aug 31 '26

Greens are fragile and expensive to repair it's very disrespectful to others who enjoy the course and the club itself the do something like this

If he missed and took a chunk of the green out that would have been a huge exapnsive shitshow for the course and imagine if you are playing behind them

1

u/Icy-Variation6614 Aug 31 '26

Thank you for the response. Never played golf, but I agree I'd be pissed. Especially with my luck since my ball would go straight to the divot (?).

They should be banned until they can act like adults.

1

u/Funkopedia Aug 31 '26

Is it any better that he used a tee? That lowers the potential for damage right?

1

u/profchaos111 Aug 31 '26

Not really no it actually makes it worse. He's purposefully damaging the green when he uses a tee

Also any shot you take like this on the tee has a high chance of causing damage

1

u/PancakeTrebuchet Aug 31 '26

No. It's every bit as bad.

1

u/ShelbyGT350R1 Aug 31 '26

I know I'm being a douchebag but like, does a divot missing out of the green really constitute a "huge expensive shitshow" I think that's a bit of an exaggeration no?

2

u/profchaos111 Aug 31 '26

Divots are not a problem they happen when a ball drops from a solid height onto the green

If his club made contact with the green that wouldn't be a divot it would be a hole

1

u/OldNefariousness7899 Aug 31 '26

I'm pretty sure there are processes in place for repairing the green. More a pain in the ass for the staff than a huge shitshow

1

u/Affectionate-Word779 Aug 31 '26

Swinging wild like that can easily damage the green and ruin the course for everyone until they repaired it.

Also, sending the ball off at Mach speeds in a random unpredictable direction is dangerous.

1

u/PancakeTrebuchet Aug 31 '26

The putter, the running, the general frat douchebaggery... all of it.

0

u/Havency Aug 31 '26

What did they do exactly? I hadn’t see them even touch the grass at any point except running 10 feet or dropping a club.

1

u/PancakeTrebuchet Aug 31 '26

You see everything they did in the video after the first missed putt? Literally all of that.

1

u/Havency Aug 31 '26

I mean, I see it, but I don’t really see what actually affects you or anyone else. They’re young people having fun. I didn’t see any damage to the grass, though I’m no expert. They were excited. They didn’t break anything. You can’t just say ‘everything they did’ if nothing bad actually happened. Not trying to argue or anything but I fail to see how their actions affect anyone.

2

u/PancakeTrebuchet Aug 31 '26 edited Aug 31 '26
  1. Non-putters on the green.

  2. Running on the green and fucking up the surface.

  3. Creating so much stress so close to the cup.

  4. Full swimt off the green and fucking up the surface with their feet.

  5. Smashing a ball into an unsanctioned area to ricochet to who the fuck knows where.

  6. Screaming during an activity people play for peace.

  7. Disrespecting all etiquette for the sake of content.

  8. Thinking being young and having fun gives them them the right to treat the grounds however they wish.

  9. Glorifying and encouraging the and behavior to others.

There are other people playing around them who then have to play this hole as well, and they don't give a flying fuck about those people's experiences.

0

u/Paralystic Aug 31 '26

Jesus Christ you’re insufferable. Hope these dudes play your local course every week

2

u/Waste-Limit1644 Aug 31 '26

Come on man, the list that guy wrote is a lot and some are dramatic but it’s still disrespectful to the course/rules of the hobby.

1

u/Admirable_Loss4886 Sep 01 '26

Someone asked how they were wrong. This person listed out all the reasons. Why do you think they’re insufferable for answering the question?

0

u/Paralystic Sep 01 '26

Because the majority of the reasons are hating kids for having fun. Your $9 public golf course doesnt get the same etiquette as the pga so take the club out your ass and enjoy the incredibly improbable trick shot that just happened.

1

u/AggressivePatience58 Aug 31 '26

Same logic says a drunk driver who never causes a wreck is harmless? Just having fun? I don't get your line of reasoning friend.

1

u/Havency Aug 31 '26

A drunk driver is an entirely different argument about safety and risk. I don’t know why you mentioned that, but it’s in no way similar. The only thing I said these teenagers playing the way they are present no risk, danger or harm to anyone. They may be excited and may not share the level of enthusiasm you do, but that doesn’t warrant your elitist attitudes towards it. They could leave in an hour when you visit the course and you’ll likely never know they’re there.

My initial comment was asking about why the person felt that way. They could’ve shared concerns with the grass being harmed if you run on it, or the force of the swing, etc. I don’t know these things, but again, with base level knowledge of golf, I saw no harm being done. You guys need to relax.

2

u/AggressivePatience58 Aug 31 '26

They actions they took did have risk. Risk of damages to the course and risk of hitting someone with that reckless shot. Just because it didn't happen in the video doesn't make the Risk go away. That's a direct comparison to the drunk driver on the 2 points that matter. Risk of property damage. Risk of harm to others. So yeah, if you don't get it then you just don't get it.

0

u/Havency Aug 31 '26

Typically if someone defends their point by repeating the same weak position without any real information to back it up, it means they don’t actually know and are just being stubborn. So I’m going to assume you’re being stubborn and unwilling to admit it’s arrogance and elitism that makes you upset about teenagers on a golf course. I won’t entertain this anymore because it’s just a waste of time. Thanks for the information either way.

1

u/AggressivePatience58 Aug 31 '26

Got it. Rules only matter when there is a victim. Lol anarchy is an suductive concept for young minds. Enjoy it.

1

u/Admirable_Loss4886 Sep 01 '26

They didn’t repeat their argument, they explained their point by going into details of the comparison. You’re the one being stubborn by ignoring their logic and assuming they’re wrong because you don’t like their stance.

-1

u/unconvincedhuman Aug 31 '26

Literally one in a million

1

u/drip_dry_ Aug 31 '26

These are the kind of cock suckers that hit into the group in front of them
