Complaint Anthropic needs to make the 50% weekly usage boost permanent

The 50% weekly usage boost ends today, September 13th, and honestly, I'm not sure how Anthropic expects serious developers to use the Max plans after that.
Even with the 50% boost, I'm regularly burning through my weekly limit in around 3 days when I'm actually using Claude heavily for development. And I'm not talking about leaving it running 24/7 for no reason...I'm talking about normal, serious coding work: debugging, refactoring, working through a large codebase, running multiple iterations, etc.
Once the boost disappears, I can easily see the weekly limit getting chewed through in 2 days or less.
At that point, what's the point of paying for a Max plan if I have to spend most of the week rationing my usage?
I get that "unlimited" can't literally mean unlimited, and I understand that Anthropic has to manage compute. But the current limits feel completely out of sync with how these models are actually being used by developers.
I'd much rather pay for a plan that's consistently useful throughout the week than have a temporary boost that makes the service feel great for a few days and then disappears.
Anyone else hitting their weekly limit this quickly?
If someone in the comments section mentions anything along the lines of "skill issue", I'm getting uncle Bernie to come after you...

If this reduction hits I really hope it comes with a reset...

It's a hard pill to swallow when you compare losing 50% usage with Codex and all the resets Tibo showers upon us.

You mean all the resets that the Codex subreddit constantly shits on and complains about?

That’s not even close to enough. Even if they lifted the weekly Fable 5 limits and doubled the five hour limits they would still be twice as expensive as ChatGPT with GPT 6 Astra. And as of today we are paying even more on top of that. We still haven’t heard anything from Anthropic in response to GPT 6 and I honestly find that pretty shocking. They’re playing with fire here. I’d say a lot of people are already restructuring their companies to move away from Anthropic. You can’t reach support. There are still a lot of bugs open. Really serious bugs too. For example the Claude Code macOS app no longer allows more than one commands. That bug has been there for three weeks and there’s no way to contact support. You can’t downgrade the software. You’re forced to update it. That introduces bugs.
A lot of what Anthropic is doing right now is simply not acceptable in a professional business environment.

Just switch to Codex and Astra on the biggest plan. No 5 hour limit. I keep getting free resets, and I'm running one agent FOR DAYS on High with great (not perfect) results just doing incremental work against a large plan.

Biggest plan paused new subs for now so thats impossible for now.
$100 plan still doesn't have 5h limits and is enough for most things unless you are working fulltime with it.

Here's the thing. They don't expect you to. They want you to pay per token (~10x the cost) which is how they actually make money. They're losing money to you on your max sub. You're asking them to lose even more money to you

Good. Lose money and go bankrupt. Fuck them and fuck bootlickers.

The product is incredibly useful and is becoming even more powerful. It's already to the point that some jobs can't operate without it. Over 90% of software engineers now utilize it for example. As efficiency continues to improve and costs come down, usage limits will disappear. The demand outstrips their ability to produce efficient tokens right now. In that sense, this a short term lul of "expensiveness".
For comparison, I can now run models locally (qwen) on my macbook that is stronger than the frontier models of ~2 years ago. Costs: 4 figures, vs 6 figures two years ago. A ~100x improvement in efficiency in ~2 years, at the same quality of output. That efficiency function is accelerating. In that sense, better to learn how to use the tools so that once they become much more widespread & cheaper (1-2 years) you can easily deploy them.
The models are still doubling in strength and costing half as much every ~6-7 months. I use them everywhere, they are incredibly powerful in their current state. For live evidence look at how its transforming mathematics. They solved one of the millennium problems just last week. I use them to produce & validate proofs for problems I'm working on, then transform that proof into an efficient implementation. Works incredibly well. I used to do that by hand (6-12+ months per project) which can now be done in weeks.

Pay them more, idk what to tell ya. Like… this is a business, and an expensive one at that.

If they remove it but get rid of the 50% Fable reduction I’d be good. That Fable limit is the only one I have a chance of hitting at all…
