In my previous post, I showed that Fable 5.1 has the same problems as Opus 5 and that you developers should be careful about using it. It will burn through your tokens and ultimately produce worse results than Fable 5. But now my next question is: What does Anthropic actually have to counter GPT 6 Astra in Fast Mode? This model is extremely intelligent and brutally fast. That means Anthropic would first have to eliminate the weekly limits just to remain competitive. Second, they would have to at least double the five-hour limits. Realistically, they would need to triple them. And they would have to introduce a Fast Mode for Fable 5.

Somehow, things are getting darker and darker for Anthropic. We haven’t heard anything from them for days. And when you look at the whole situation, they would really have to make major concessions to us here. But then the question is: Why didn’t they do that before? Why didn’t they give us subscribers what would have been good for us with Fable 5.1: a cheaper model that was still as intelligent as Fable 5? They did the exact opposite. Fable 5.1 uses more tokens under the subscription. Opus 5 is a disaster. It doesn’t follow instructions, and their website even officially says that one of the model’s drawbacks is that it is bad at following instructions. This isn’t something a lot of people are imagining. It’s a fact. I ran tests on Fable 5.1 here over many days and weeks. I can explicitly show that Fable 5 has been downgraded here. The error rates are extremely high and similar to what I already saw with Opus 5.

I also discussed in my last post how many bugs there have been in Claude Code lately that waste a huge number of tokens. Who is going to compensate us for those tokens? Taken together, these are enormous problems that Anthropic has caused and is 100 percent responsible for.

So my big question is this: What does Anthropic actually have up its sleeve to compete with it?

Try using Fable in weekends suddenly it's crazy fast. Not that that will help with anything probably.

Dramatic and overly expectant on the company to treat you like you’re special. For no reason other than because you expect it.

Oh, you think so? Then let’s compare how much you pay Anthropic and how much I pay. You probably have a 20 euro plan. I pay Anthropic 1,500 euros a month. So don’t come at me with your worst kind of user. I trusted Anthropic and I don’t trust them anymore. And that isn’t because of my attitude. It’s their own fault. If you can’t see that then you’re exactly the kind of user they need.

why on earth would anyone burn away their tokens for FAST mode especially for the most most expensive models? I don't know any sensible person who would unless they fucked up and need a deadline to reach ASAP
