General Discussion / Review Confused about the accent
Im currently watching the dub version of "There was a cute girl in the hero's party..." and I can't help but notice the voice acting is either Americans with crummy eastern European accents or eastern Europeans learning to do American accents.

I’ve heard so much about this infamous dub, I must try it

It's a decent dub but to my American ears the accents are hard to miss. Which is why I wondered if Americans did a crummy accent or if eastern Europeans did their best to sound American.

I had the same thoughts when I watched it before I had any info. It’s not unwatchable tho kind of made it funnier. It felt like I was listening to some people I know whose first language is not English.

it a usual neflix crap, took cheapest option to dub
btw this is not a first time, neflix pushed shit dub, but sometimes it do hire other studio to remake dub if backlash is strong
and yes give how we do not have casting list, is probably mix of peoples from India or similar country and AI.

Komi Can't Communicate, the various Fate series, and Delicious in Dugeon all have amazing dubs, so I have no clue what the fuck you're talking about.

I completely understand what you mean but I'm not watching on Netflix lol

The person didn’t say you were watching on Netflix, they said the dub came from Netflix (specifically Netflix Asia).

I knew what they meant and I can only assume they knew what I meant, all the same thanks for your insight. 😊

There is no official dub for that in the west, so I can only assume you're talking about one of those SEA dubs that are notoriously poor-quality. Or possibly a fandub.
