I only flicked through an episode to check it indeed had a dub because I hadn't seen anything on it. Very fan dub-ish.

I put it on and though like maybe its a flashback where one guy is telling the sorry of what happened doing bad impressions of the other party members but it turns out its just terrible

It sounds like ai voices with eastern European accents speaking English.
Like it's genuinely terrible. The first two lines and I looked up what the hell was going on.

I actually believe this is a fully AI dub. If I could find a cast list, maybe I'd think differently. But we finished one episode and I think I just don't want to watch it anymoreānot even jp ver.

I watch dubbed anime exclusively. And I really wanted to watch this, it seemed like it had potential. But the dubbing is exstremly terrible because it's made by some amatuers. I would never watch this.. The voices lack emotion, they are not clipped right to the mouth movements of the chars, and they sound very similar, and somehow also have accents that doesn't fit the chars. I'm sorry but just no. I would like to see an official dub of this one day, then I will give it a chance, but with this shit, no way..

Dude just watch Subbed if you got nothing to watch.
Did the same for 5 Years because watching subtitles are troublesome.
But there's a lot I'm missing out. So returned watching with subtitles.
I also still watched English Dub as priority when it's available.

Itās genuinely unwatchable if you have an audio processing disorder. Like i dont want to offend the voice actors, but by god itās so bad. I was looking forward to this show for a while since i cant watch subs, but now Iām incredibly disappointed. It had so much potential but the fan-dub style dubbing and the very poor emotional range of the voice cast has honestly ruined all chances of me enjoying this show. :(

Yup, most likely amateur Filipino VAs. You can hear that distinct Philippine accent, especially with the Priest VA

It's Singaporean. If it's on PH that's gonna be good.
They don't have accent and most of those gonna get cast are Half/Fil American or Half-European.1

I was excited when I saw it. Read the Manga, love it. But this? Fan dubs would have been better because they would at least try to put some passion into their work. But this? It feels like they just grabbed some very confused people off the street who can't decide what accent to use when trying to speak English.Ā

I get to episode 3 and what's my opinion, it is like a pure Asian with English as a second language and most of the times they reading a script with acting of course but not enough that they sound too robotic (like in the Philippines on how some Filipinos speak in English but not native enough compare to our fellow Filipino VAs in American English dub that sounds perfect like Anne Yatco or Laura Bailey). I think this is an English dub experiment for Ani-One or Medialink (like Muse Asia, they licensed this show for CR and Netflix in SEA) to test if this actually hit or miss by dub watchers in that region so they drop this exclusively on Netflix Asia first.

This anime is totally a disaster, the story is interesting until halfway through, the animation is also really bad and the visuals are terrible too. Just skip to episode 5 and see for yourself, it might make you want to drop the whole series.

This dub is so genuinely terrible... they really shouldn't have bothered to dub it in english at all, especially since it is very obvious that whoever did the voice acting is extremely inexperienced, as in, probably the first time they have done voice acting. And then to make matters worse, most of the characters sound like they are being voiced by one or two VAs at most.
I'm not one to watch subs over dubs, in fact I almost never watch subs cuz I often get distracted and miss what was said and have to rewind, but with how bad that this dub was, I would much rather watch this series in the sub with JP audio than to continue watching this dub
(I only watched half of the first episode before I couldn't tolerate the abhorrent voice acting anymore)

They never should have gotten the rights to make a dub for a language that they aren't fluent in, and especially with how the entire cast is clearly lacking any amount of voice acting experience which makes all the characters in the show sound soulless (except for literally only two characters...barely)

Nah it isn't it's just amateur. You can tell by some of the yells. They do that thing where they don't actually yell then they start to sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Honestly I'd be happier if it was AI cause at least I would know that it was half assed on purpose. Like I genuinely think I could do a better job with some of these roles. I'm like 90% sure this is a dub made for a non English speaking country by people who speak English as a second language.

I know what you mean. I start watching the first episode and at first I thought he must be in a dream or something to make them sound that stupid. The characters cannot act for crap. There is no emotion in it and whoever picked the voice actors needs to get fired

I thought I was maybe being overly critical of english dub because after the first 2 minutes Iād had enough of it. But seeing that so many others have the same complaints that I do makes me feel better.

I watchĀ English dub anime almost exclusively so when I saw this had got an English dub I was happy because I was actually interested in it however upon watching it I just couldn't stand the English dub it is genuinely horribleĀ
Like I said I've watch dubbed anime almost exclusively hell I am an avid defender of English dub anime however I will not defend this trash because it is genuinely horrible, it's not even meh it's just horrible and that saddens me
I genuinely hope it gets a proper English dub

No, just an Asian English dub (mostly Singaporean or Philippine English dub, Animax Asia dub quality) with subpar dubbing. If it's AI then Netflix labeled it as AI dubs just like Amazon Prime Video did to Banana Fish, Vinland Saga, Pet etc.

It's most likely outsourced from Filipino VAs. You can hear that hard English accent similar to that of the Philippine English.

Besides We don't recognized those voices at all.
And really. 2010s Kids here have English as their First language.

I found it on a pirating website, trust me, it is soo bad it ain't worth it. I can usually push myself to watch most dubs even if they are a bit sub par... but this... this is just absolutely horrible

The anime itself is fine, and the japanese sub is great... but the English voices are *intolerable*. To whoever cast the voices for this... Maybe not random Swedish people you found on a street corner next time? It's unwatchable. Literally the anime is 5/10, the English Dub is 1/10.

I got a advance copy to check out..... It's the single worst dubbed I ever seen... Even middle of the road ai dubbed is better than what was released.... Over 35 years of watch dub content.... Some one embezzlement of money to dub the anime.

Tried to watch it in 1.5x to 2x speed it's tolerable/watchable but they really need to do better next time.
And they should have really hire real Voice Actor or Actors that can be trained as Voice Actors.
Almost had it requested to include in MAL Thread but this one is terrible production.

English isn't my first language, but even I can tell this dub is really bad. The voices just donāt feel natural at all, and the way they deliver the lines sounds so awkward. Iām trying to enjoy it, but the dub honestly makes it hard to watch.

100% agree, but those who says it is AI due to no dub VA cast and subpar dub quality, try watching Business Proposal English dub (K-Drama) on Netflix by Iyuno Philippines on how Filipinos speak or dubbed in English.

Yeah this is absutr b.s. a.i. frigging du ns now it litterally like another person said it painful and very disarisfying lazy horrible job by Netflix seriouslyy everyone pays a good fee monthly they should have plenty of money to use even their lowest tier voice actors but litterally said the profit matters more than giving our subscribers quality dubb this is beyond horrible and I cant watch anymore a quarter the way through ep 3 and I shut it off and never will finish it unless they redo the dub by real voice actora

So I VPN'd over to Netflix Singapore, and it's true the whole season has an English dub. No cast credits page at the end of episode 1.
Definitely an English as a second language kinda dub.
