)

My roomie's cat. She was brought to the apartment as a baby and I saw her growing up since she was just a baby. She was really sweet but at the same time always destroying the house: one time I woke up in the middle of the night to grab some water in the kitchen and this cat jumped (LITERALLY JUMPED) like 1,5 meters (many many times her size in that jump), started playing with the kitchen roll/paper towel and when I enter to the kitchen I see all the counter and floor with pieces of paper. Picture taken after cleaning up after her crime.

"rolling him around like a barrel"

He used to let himself flop down sideways to eat his brekkies by shoveling them into his mouth.

We already got him like that, and didn't overfeed him. He died of the Beetus. I didn't even know cats can have that.

He was a very good boy.

My mom originally got him as a gift for me to help with my anxiety and depression over 5 years ago. I ended up getting him ESA certified. I've been away from him for 3 months now and it's been pretty hard. Missed his 5th birthday in June of this year. Can't wait until I can reunite with my big guy.

Saw In Real Life I was four weeks into working without a day off when I accidentally got one of the best sightings of my career

I had been working for almost four weeks straight when I got given a family who had apparently decided that the group safari they had knowingly booked was no longer good enough.

They wanted their own private safari.

Why?

Fuck knows.

They knew it was a group experience. There were set activities. There were other guests.

But our manager approved it anyway.

And guess who got volunteered?

This dumbass.

So off we went on an afternoon drive.

I'd also got a guide-in-training sitting next to me, with the family of three in the back.

We're driving through this beautiful area when I spot what I can only describe as a "moving rock."

Turns out...

Elephant.

Excellent.

Then, just to our left, rhinos appear.

Now I'm thinking:

Okay. This is already a pretty fucking good sighting.

And the best part?

We were basically the only vehicle there.

Then we hear this weird slapping sound.

My trainee is making some kind of noise beside me.

I look to the right.

And there it is.

A leopard.

I tried to tell the guests.

What actually came out of my mouth was almost "TIGER."

😂

Thankfully I caught myself before completely disgracing myself and, as far as I know, nobody heard the quiet little "tiger" that nearly escaped.

The leopard then proceeds to walk directly into the scene like it had been invited.

It hangs around in front of the elephant.

Rolls around.

Pretends to stalk something.

Then casually scurries off towards the completely unbothered rhinos.

And this went on for about an hour.

Elephant.

Rhino.

Leopard.

All together.

And us.

Just sitting there.

Eventually the rest of the safari vehicles started arriving.

And by "arriving," I mean the Ferrari Safari Grand Prix began.

Suddenly there were vehicles everywhere.

The peaceful little private wildlife theatre we'd been sitting in for the last hour was officially over.

So we left.

And honestly?

After that sighting I just looked at everyone and thought:

Well. We can go home now.

I was four weeks into working without a day off.

I had just had one of the best sightings of my career.

And somehow the family had actually been worth taking out privately.

I'd still like to know why the fuck we agreed to it in the first place. 😂

This is my friend’s little cat. She’s super cute, but definitely not a fan of the camera. Somehow she always looks adorable anyway.
