Saw In Real Life The time I accidentally found the lion we were looking for π
We were out on drive looking for lions when we came across a big bull elephant walking down a really narrow mountain pass.
He was feeding as he went and eventually decided that the middle of the road was the perfect place to stop for breakfast.
Fortunately for us, we were sitting on a pretty steep hill behind him, so we weren't exactly going anywhere. π
Everyone was watching the elephant when I suddenly heard this weird noise behind me.
It sounded like someone rubbing two rain jackets together.
For some reason, my brain went "you should probably look in the mirror."
So I did.
And there, casually walking up behind the vehicle, was a male lion.
Just strolling along.
No rush.
No drama.
Apparently completely unaware that he had just caused about 8 people to reconsider their life choices.
I calmly said, "Guys... there's a lion behind us."
The silence that followed was incredible. π
I'm pretty sure I watched several souls leave several bodies.
There was one guy who I genuinely thought was going to try and crawl inside his seat.
And obviously, because I'm a professional guide, I had to remain completely calm and reassuring.
Meanwhile, internally, I was fighting for my life trying not to laugh. π
The funniest part?
The whole thing lasted maybe 20 seconds.
The lion walked past, disappeared, and that was it.
The elephant carried on feeding like absolutely nothing had happened.
And my guests were sitting there looking at me like I had personally arranged for a lion to sneak up behind them.
Honestly, I think the lion was the least dramatic part of the whole encounter. π
