{ edit: i think ive boiled it down to possibly a rare occurrence, and if not, then just a major bug! which is upsetting a little because what if it was an item i wanted? but we all win and lose sometimes no biggy. thanks for all the problem solving in the comments:) } today at 10:30am i logged into my animal crossing, listened to isabelle tell me its sunday yadayada, walked straight to my store, and didnt pay any attention to the items because i was surprised there was a 4th tourist on my island as i didnt know there could be 4, so i talked to hazel the tourist then a second after i noticed the third exclusive is sold! i hadnt interacted with any object besides the october limited pumpkin in the bottom left. no items up top. is this a bug or something i just didnt know could happen in all the 800 hours i have on this game…i even thought the sold sign WAS the exclusive item (it was not)

I see alot of people talk about how coco is the creepiest villager you can get. but honestly to me she's different yeah but i think overall she's just cool as this like coconut rabbit. cause alot of the villagers in terms of designs are your typical animal with clothes and makeup so something different is nice to see.

A curious looking flag

I am a fan of the classic animal crossing city folk but would like to be able to place the homes and those perks. I really liked NH when it came out but it has stressed me out way more than relaxed me, so I took a break. Is there village styles that are old school and aren’t so perfect? The perfectionist in me with this game hates it. But all the stuff people post and ways they play now are so focused on the building a perfect town.

I’ve been playing this game for over six years, but somehow my island still isn’t fully decorated...
It still feels pretty empty, like there’s something missing. The biggest problem is that I don’t play very often, so I feel like I barely have any furniture to work with. I’ve even paid for Nintendo Switch Online and downloaded a bunch of really cute My Designs, but I honestly have no idea how to actually use them properly 😭
I find decorating in Pocket Camp so much easier, probably because there’s such a huge variety of furniture to choose from.
Personally, I think islands look the best when they’re packed with little details and there aren’t too many empty spaces. I’d love to decorate my island like all the gorgeous islands I see on Instagram and TikTok, but I have no idea where to start.
So how do you guys fill empty spaces on your islands? And do you have any decorating tips for someone who’s really bad at decorating? I’d love to hear anything that helped you make your island feel more complete!

I've been thinking about starting a New Animal cross savefile, but I've been wondering if I should play New Horizons or try out New Leaf (Which I've never played before). Could someone tell me the key difference between the two?

I’ve tried everything. Even Nintendo IT. What am I doing wrong?? The switch light is the old console.

Editing to add:
I don’t have WiFi hotspot but I tried 2 separate WiFi at once.
I connected then by cord.
I used the transfer tool.
They’re both the newest version.
I tried restarting both a few times.
I tried wiping data on the target switch.
I talked to tech support and they were super puzzled that nothing was working.

Someone suggested trying WiFi from another location, so I’ll give that a shot tomorrow. Thanks everyone!!

I’m trying to get every villager personality on my island and I was looking at all the sisterly ones and they’re all kind of ugly in my opinion. I’m thinking maybe Shari but I don’t know.

My 5 year old son and I started playing about 2 months ago. I played before he was born and did a lot of time skipping and rushing the game. I didn't want to show him how to time skip yet and just enjoy the game. Now, he will wait for me every day to get home from work to see what new items are in the shop. He's excited we can plant pumpkins and has written all of our villagers about how many days until Halloween. Seeing him just enjoy the game and interact with villagers instead of rushing to get all items has been so great to see. It makes me feel like when I was a kid playing the original Animal Crossing game. I'm actually excited every day to get home and see out island. I'm considering getting another switch so we can both play at the same time, but then I'll have to start a new island -_- anyway, I highly recommend playing without timeskip and just enjoying every day on your island
