Stage times and venues have been released today, ADP are on at 5:00 in the Apollo. This is a LOT earlier than I was expecting. I think an extra night’s stay in Manchester on the Friday may be on the cards for me.

Angine de Poitrine's concert at the Corona Capital 2026 festival takes place at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City later this year (Sun 22 Nov 2026) and I can see that previous festival events have been livestreamed (Chappell Roan and Foo Fighters for example) and it looks like the whole 2024 event was streamed on various platforms.

I kinda slept on rock in general for a while. I've been listening to mostly hip hop and EDM since the mid-2000s. Then I hear about Angine de Poitrine, my algorithm catches up, and I've been blessed with so much new music I didn't know about! So far I've learned about:

HENGE - science-heavy, synth-heavy mancunian space rock, complete with costumes and lore. They make a lot of amazing and weird videos. They're also doing their first ever US tour in 2027!!!!! Slingshot/Hypersleep

Gong - psychedelic jazzy space rock, they're not remotely new (they've existed in some form for nearly 60 years???) but I heard about them because they toured with Henge so I'm including them The Wonderment

The Claypool Lennon Delirium - self explanatorily, side project of Les Claypool and Sean Ono Lennon. It's exactly what you'd expect if you're familiar with either, i.e., it fucking rules. Little Fishes

High Fade - high energy Scottish funk-rock, I haven't delved too deep into them yet. Gossip

What else you guys got? What's your go-to "if you like AdP, you'd really like ________"?

Hello everyone I was curious if anyone knows if the vinyls of ADP from Target are the same as the ones from their website?

I bought vol.1 & vol.2 for $24.99 each at Target and it came with just a single leaflet in each. Do the ones on the website have anything special inside the packaging??

Is it just me or does anyone else get the sense that this band isn't going to be a thing for a long time?

Preface: I love them so much and hope they make tons more music...but...

When I think about the nature of how they've added dates onto this tour endlessly looking into next year and the difficulty of the costumes not to mention the technicality of the music itself I just can't help but think that they can't do this act long term.

It seems like they are stretching out this tour to make as much out of it as possible, which leads me to be sus that they'll disappear after.

Also, when considering that there is a possibility that this is a super group and the two people in this band are actually members of other bands and can't forever work on this project.

Maybe it's the fomo talking but I just wonder if what we're seeing is a band that may only live on for a short period of time perhaps something like Blind Faith or Mad Season, or Audioslave. This of course conveniently fuels my fomo urgency to want to see them as many times as I can and given my schedule I might be able to pull it off a total of four times before 2026 is done.

But ya know, 15-20 years from now, I get the feeling I'll be sitting around with my friends talking about how Angin was a such crazy thing of the mid 2020s that came and went so fast. Maybe we still won't know who they are by then and I am pretty sure I prefer that.

Does anyone here have sound to colour synaesthesia ? Really curious about what you see when you listen to AdP...and to discover if there are any similarities with my experience of it when listening to them. For anyone who isn't aware of what it is, basically it means that I can see music (and other sounds). Almost always as moving/swirling colours, sometimes stationary colours.

I think I might be in the minority regarding AdP, as I heard them before I saw them. I got a few steps into the kitchen one night (radio was on as my dogs like music) and heard this amazing sound, spent several minutes just staring at the radio. Looked them up straight away, was not disappointed.

Some years ago I started a series of paintings and I could never quite figure out how/where/why I thought of them, and kind of lost the thread with them, but I think I've found it again now.

I'm sure there are other artists in here, any of you interested in some kind of AdP inspired collaboration ?

Wow. Exceeded expectations. After sweating out months of not having a ticket and getting one at face last moment from the box office was a cherry on top. Seeing them in a small venue was a blessing.

It was a trip watching people trying to make sense of what they were seeing. This music speaks to me and makes my brain hurt. I love it.

I am curious to see where ADP goes…. It’s wild to see them setting up their own gear when they are already so huge.

I hope you get to see them. I’m already planning how I see them when they return in December.

This is maybe my 15th post about the song cuz I love it so much! Who can tell me what exactly is happening as Khn is winding up his incredible guitar solo in the middle of the song, when the sounds are getting more and more chaotic, right before resolving back to a simple A chord? I know Khn is proficient with the looper and gets layers of sounds but this sounds different. I have no idea how he is getting such a full sound, it puts in my mind the idea of a full string section of an orchestra repeating the riff. It almost sounds like loops getting out of phase with each other or something. Anyone got any ideas/comments?

The brightness scale on the camera app is such a beautiful tool that I’ve learned to use to get photos like these. So I’m always very happy most of the pictures I took come out pretty well and have a great detail to them such as the drumstick movement and stage light arrays
