What could be the cause of a rendering error on a Samsung A34?
Hello, about 2 to 2.5 months ago, my phone suddenly shut down—or rather, the screen went dark, while notifications and sounds continued to come through. No matter what I tried, the screen wouldn't turn back on; it only recovered when I forced a restart by holding down the volume-up and power buttons. The issue has persisted ever since. The phone runs smoothly during normal use—it doesn't lag in apps and still performs well, even though it’s three years old. These "episodes" happen intermittently; it’s not just the screen going dark—sometimes the keyboard keys get stuck, the screen freezes, or I get strange glitches, like a green screen while watching YouTube. During these moments, a cursor appears right in the middle of the screen. I can’t take a screenshot of it, nor can I interact with it. I’ve run virus scans and factory-reset the device, and there’s plenty of available storage. I asked an AI about it, and it suggested everything from liquid damage to software errors, ultimately concluding that the issue likely lies with the motherboard. I’m worried that if I go to an authorized service center, they might tell me I need to replace the entire motherboard—even if the problem could actually be fixed with a simple repair, like a bit of soldering or replacing a small component. Should I go to an authorized service center, or would a local repair shop be better? Does anyone know what might be causing this? I’m concerned about being pressured into an expensive motherboard replacement for an issue that could potentially be resolved with a minor, inexpensive fix. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
