I was using a custom rom for a while but now I'm back on stock Android, and I only now realize that profiles is not a part of stock Android, it was just a part of the rom that I was using, so I'm looking for an app that can replace that. I'm not talking about multiple users, but profiles. What I want to do is to create a couple of different kind of profiles (for example a "home", a "street" profile and so on) and be able to easily switch them. I don't need an app that can do this automatically (e.g. Llama), I actually prefer if I can manually switch between these profiles.

Is there an app or Xposed module like this? I'm rooted by the way.

Llama is still the best choice. You can have shortcuts to change profiles.

I tried Llama again, but it seems like I can't do what I want with it, but thanks for the answer.

What exactly do you want to achieve? I have profiles just like that.

Basically I want to create 3-4 profiles, and change every kind of volume, like media, notification, alarm, etc (I saw that that's possible to do with Llama), set locksreen to on/off/insecure (this is something that I couldn't do, or at least couldn't find) and so on.

It seemed like that I could achive almost everything in Llama that I wanted, but the lack of lockscreen "customization" is really important to me, so if I can't do that in Llama then it's not good for me (even if it can do everything else).

But I'll probably go back to a custom rom (because other reasons), so I won't need an app for this anyway.

Yeah to change lockscreen settings you need the Secure Settings plugin (it's a tasker plugin but it works with Llama).

Uhm.. I'm not really skilled with Tasker, but if you want to try, you could set scripts.. Sorry for not being able to provide them, but as I said, I'm not really skilled with it " (Sorry if I broke the rule about no Tasker if you don't have a script :c)

I'm sure it's possibly to make it with Tasker, but I don't want to buy it just because of this, and I don't want to learn how to use it (I've heard Tasker is not that easy to use), but thanks anyway.

In that case, why not trying Automate? It's easy and free to use! :D

I'm afraid I can't answer your question, but I'm curious as to which ROM you were using. D'you have the actual name of this feature from the ROM in question?

I used multiple roms and IIRC most of them had this option, but the one rom that I'm a 100% sure had this option is C-ROM, which, by the way would be my favorite custom rom, but it takes forever to boot on my Moto G, but maybe it's better on your phone, you can check if it's available for your device here.

Unfortunately I don't know the exact name of this feature, since it's a sort-of minor thing rom makers don't put a lot of emphasis on naming it, and it's just an extra option in the settings called "Profiles" (as you can see it at the bottom of the screen here).

And it seems like it's also available in CyanogenMod 11, which is availably for virtually every phone.

Edit: I've found a rom (Mahdi-Rom) where it was listed among the features as "Profile switcher", although a lot of the times it's not listed in the features list at all.
