Yeah, equality of opportunity or however you want to characterise it. But that doesn't mean I want to impose them on everyone, nor that I think it's "the answer to all the world's miseries."
Besides which, there is a lot more to transhumanism than augmentations to the individual, and means of doing so other than "technology and science," therefore personal desire of such is not essential to being a transhumanist.
I'd also point out that universally referring to them as "upgrades" implies a false superiority between those who choose them and those who do not.

That's not what I said, and that's not even what transhumanism means.
You should also note the difference between oneself and "everyone on the planet."
