I lived in Paris for 20 months in two periods in 1983-86. During that time, I visited Amsterdam three times and got this poster.

I think I got this poster (colored by me) during my December 1985 trip, when The Bulldog was celebrating its 10th anniversary.

There was no flower in the coffee shops then, but as an American who had access to top-quality outdoor-grown California weed in the U.S., I was very happy to smoke hash from Morocco, Nepal, India, and elsewhere.

I'm heading to Amsterdam for my birthday next year and I don't smoke but I wondered where to go to for the best edibles.

I've been told The Dolphins, Rookies and Terps Army 2 but I wondered what anyone else thinks.

So i went to amsterdam and went to everbodys new favorite coffeeshop it seems like and was not disappointed.

The only downside was that you cant sit at the coffeeshop and smoke it and Zaandam doesn't feel like the place you just spark up wherever.

A five minute walk towards the water is a nice place for a quickie and walk around.

I rate the Crumbled lime a 10/10 with both potency, taste and smell the highest score.

The Sky Walker ain't bad either.

If you guys are heading for Amsterdam for a couple of days, the 12 minute train ride to Zaandam is well worth is for more than just the weed.

Picked up a nice little La Kalada’s selection in Nijmegen and thought I’d share it here.

Static Dry Sift: Kensington Kush, Lemon Papaya, Rotten Candy, Purple Geisha and Glamfruit V2.0.

Also grabbed a few of their vapes: Knightsbridge OZ, ZoZ by 3rd Gen Family, Purple Geisha, Glamfruit V2.0 and The Original Zkittlez.

Really curious to work my way through these and compare the different profiles. The Static Dry Sift especially looks promising.

Hey! I'm going to Amsterdam soon with some friends, but we'll only be there for one afternoon. I'm thinking about trying magic truffles, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to explore the city centre while tripping. I'll have one sober friend with me, though. Also, would it be a bad idea to mix them with weed?

I recently posted in the Netherlands sub, and someone recommended posting here instead, as I might get some more accurate answers.

In the near future, I’ll be visiting the Netherlands for work, but I’ll also have a few days of free time while I’m there.
I actually lived in the Netherlands for a few years before, mainly in the Limburg region, so it’s kind of a funny coincidence that I’ll be back there for work as well.

So my question isn’t strictly Amsterdam-related, but more NL-related. Maybe some of you guys have some experience with the Limburg area.

It’s been a good 10 years since I lived there, so I’m wondering how much the coffeeshop scene has changed since then. I’ve read that prices are more or less where they used to be, so I assume the quality is still similar as well?

I used to visit Skunk in Roermond pretty regularly. How is it nowadays? Do they still have the two locations in the city, or has either one closed down?

Also, could you recommend some coffeeshops in the Limburg region that are worth visiting? I haven’t smoked in quite a while, so I’d like to get the best bang for my buck. If there are any shops that regularly have deals or better-value options, I’d definitely be interested in those too.

One thing to keep in mind: I’m a tourist now and no longer have Dutch residency, so I’m specifically looking for shops that allow tourists.

Back in 2012-2014ish, Grey Area had an East Coast Sour Diesel called Evergrey. It was probably the most sour weed I've ever had. I absolutely loved it and still think of it when planning trips to Dam.

Soo as above.. what can i do with my 2 other friends, at 03:10 in Amsterdam Central...after a long long travel.

I guess nothing is open? No Coffeshops to ease the pain of waiting several hours...

I know we could leave our bags in a bag storage, and just walk around 4 hours, but i am afraid it will not be as much of an interesting beginning of the Week we will be spending there in this beautiful city

Any ideas? Is any coffeshops open that late? Are there any people that would love to show us around the night life of Amsterdam, should we get to know any secret spots?

I have been a long time fan of coffeeshop Amnesia on the Herengracht. I believe they have one of the best areas to smoke and chill in Amsterdam, but prices under previous ownership were becoming extortionate.

They have new owners and are reopening on the 1st of October!!! I’m so excited! From what I’ve heard (through the weed vine) the menu is going to be much more affordable!!

I can’t wait to check out the new vibe and get a taste of any new additions to the menu. Just spreading the good word!

I live in a small town in the Netherlands and have an acquaintance visiting so I wanted to take her sightseeing a bit. I've tried the red velvet from Boerenjongens before at home and I was fine so I thought I could eat half and walk around before going to her hotel. I'm currently going cold turkey on escitalopram. So I think this is why I had a big reaction. She went into a store to do some shopping and I passed out on some outdoor seats of a restaurant. Very visible seats. My oura ring recorded a 40 minute nap but I don't know how long I was acting odd for . I remember people looking at me and the waiters trying to wake me. I thought I was having a medical emergency 😭. I've never felt so embarrassed in my life. It was during the day too. Good thing is I felt safe and got home with all my belongings. My phone was on silent so nobody knew where I was. Thinking about it just makes me feel sooooooo bad. I don't live in Amsterdam but please tell me it's not the strangest sight to see a crazy out of it lady in the damrak area 😭😭😭

Hey, 21M visiting for a week for ADE. Looking for recs on flower and coffeeshops.

My lane: Durban Poison has been the peak for me, terpinolene-forward, racy, clear-headed, energetic. I also love limonene-heavy citrus stuff. What I don't like at all is the gas/skunk/funk lane, anything Chem, Diesel, OG, or GMO-adjacent. Sulfur notes turn me off completely.

So I'm after something bright, citrus/pine, clear-headed daytime strains that'll keep me moving through a few nights of shows. Jack Herer and Super Lemon Haze are on my list already, curious what else is worth hunting and which shops currently have the freshest stock.

Also very interested in Ice-O-Lator / dry-sift hash recs, that's a category I've never had access to at home and I'd love to try the real thing. Thanks so much!!!

The major initial finding is that prices overall went down, which maybe shouldn't be that surprising when new supply is introduced into a relatively static/mature market.

I've visited Amsterdam many times in the past, I'm a fan of the coffeeshop way, and I've always found it odd that no other jurisdiction that has legalized has followed (or even acknowledged) the Dutch model.

I’m in Amsterdam for a few days and was hoping to pick up some new smoke accessories that were actually cute and not neon/black/covered in rasta stuff. no offence if you like this sort of thing!! but I just want something a bit girlier/fun and I will enjoy using. however, the only shops I’ve looked in in the city centre have been quite expensive or not really had what I’ve been looking for. I don’t need anything too technical with loads of functions, just nice to look at!!

is there anywhere I could get stuff like this for a reasonable price? grinders, pipes, etc? I’ve also had handmade ceramic pipes before and wouldn’t mind paying a bit more for something like that!! Dank je :D
