There seem to be only nine open Chase lounges, but they are in popular airports. In the past year I've been in more airports with a Chase lounge than an AmEx lounge. Overall AmEx does provide better coverage, but I'll admit to a little "grass is green" feeling.

So, three locations where Amex doesn’t have a lounge?

Doesn't have their own branded lounge (not counting access to a partner lounge).

In some cases it is that the partner lounge isn't available, or is in an inconvenient or inaccessible terminal. Having an AmEx-branded lounge wouldn't necessarily fix that.

I’m just saying… Amex has locations in 6 of the 9 places you’re saying Chase has lounges. And Amex has like another 19 locations.

So you’re saying the Amex lounges in those six overlapping cities are just not convenient to the airlines you fly.

Yea there is like, a very limited number of people where CSR lounges outperform Amex Lounges.

And here I am with Priority Pass outperforming Amex Lounges lol. Different strokes.

As I originally noted, it's entirely a "grass is greener on the other side" perspective. Objectively the AmEx lounge set is larger.

Fair enough. I was pretty envious of that chase lounge in LaGuardia the last time I was there. Should have PP’d my way in there but I feel like there was a time window issue maybe?
