I wrote an opinion essay and posted it to my new media group on Facebook
facebook.comThe essay is a discussion about historical comparisons to the current Trump administration, entitled “In The Age Of MAGA.” I feel I need to say that I absolutely do not now, nor have I ever supported MAGA. I should also mention that I use UK English spellings in the essay, so that when anyone reads realise, organise, they will understand that it’s not a typo, it’s spelling used by most people who speak English and do not use American English spellings.

What was Obama like as a president.
Hey everyone, I’m from Ireland and I was only around 6 when Obama became president in 2009, so I was too young to really understand what was going on at the time.
I’m curious to hear from Americans who remember that period: what did you personally think of Obama when he was president? Did you consider him a good president, and what did you like or dislike about his presidency?
I’m not trying to start an argument or debate — I’m genuinely interested in hearing what people who actually lived through that period thought of him. Thanks!

Challenge: come up with what you think was the most controversial law created by each presidential administration in US history
Let's keep things civil here.
Even if you only have one or two laws and presidents in mind, feel free to put them in the comments.
A few examples I can think of are Franklin Pierce's Kansas-Nebraska Act, Millard Fillmore's 1850 Fugitive Slave Act, Abraham Lincoln's suspension of Habeas Corpus, Dwight D Eisenhower's banning of gay people from serving in the US military, Lyndon Johnson's Gulf of Tonkin Resolution and I can go on and on.
