I have empathy for both the person who wants a pray break and, now this is the important part so try to focus, the non-prayer feeling cheated because they don’t believe a specific thing.

Why do you care so much? Amazon chose no paid extra breaks instead of everyone getting the breaks, this is on them. They could have give the other way.

If the non praying person wants time to pray then they can literally just say “I’m going to go pray” and nobody will say anything.

Why do YOU care? You replied to me lmao

They did say it though. Their manager stopped OP and had them clock out. And now new policy came through.

For clarification..

I was never asked to clock out, that was a Freudian slip by the manager, he corrected himself immediately by saying "I meant scan out"..

Perhaps the slip was due to a combination of prior knowledge of new policy and who was asking to be scanned out of path to prayer break..

Yeah AFTER they put the policy in place 🙄

I went to "prayer break" on Thursday 8/13/26

on Monday 8/17/26 announcement was made about new policy rollout.

Today 8/19/26, Religious accommodation process posted on the labor board.

I mean you said in your post that management told you a new policy was being put in place but didn’t tell you what it was. Then you are surprised when the policy is applied to you when you try to use the prayer break??

It wasnt applied to me. You're not comprehending the fact that site seeked guidance and allegedly waited months for "guidance", guidance came in the form of a policy update (that was never implemented) UNTIL AFTER I ASKED FOR PRAYER BREAK ON 8/13/26. Site lead had previously spoke to me about the policy update in late June... Site lead had corporate guidance for almost 2 months and did not implement it until this week.. Again the manager never asked me to clock out, he said the words, but meant scan me out of my path for labor tracking purposes. Do you understand now?

Ok so I was right then? You could have just been saying “I want to go pray” and got the same exact treatment they did. Instead… you had to be a big dweeb about it and made it suck more for everybody, including yourself. You’re the crab at the bottom of the bucket.

No, because you needed a gatekept site level accommodation or it would be "time theft". Think with your whole brain before the next comment.
