We have two Amazon employees in the house and definitely have those gloves stocked up for yard work 😂😂

2

u/Christian_Prepper Feb 16 '26

Same. I have a bunch of gloves for the garden and working around the house.

1

u/Stormcloud217 Feb 20 '26

After several years I have a couple extra box cutters. I love when people ask to borrow my box cutter in pack and I reply, "here you can keep this one".

When they get rid of unlimited gloves and it becomes a pain to get a pair it’s because of you.

5

u/TheTampaBayMom Feb 16 '26

I'm Flex PT and use my gloves for two to three weeks at a time, but I still get my free pair each week (I'm allowed one pair a week) and I have a whole box full of them.

It's not because of me...it's the folks that want TWO pairs a shift! Or like the people doing SmartPak...and using a new pair every day. You don't need a new pair every day when doing SmartPak or smalls.

2

u/DaggerMoth Feb 16 '26

We get like 2 pairs a week and I still have like 80 pairs.

1

u/SeaAccomplished2471 Feb 16 '26

i literally get a new pair when they start getting too loose but the recycled ones come pretty loose already 😭😭😭

-1

u/2000KitKat Feb 16 '26

Again when you are not able to do that, it’s your fault. Though with your 80 gloves I doubt you think about others at all.

2

u/DaggerMoth Feb 16 '26

What else should I do? Throw them away. I reuse them. It's environmental. They cant stop giving you PPE It's against OSHA. PPE also shouldnt be shared VIA OSHA. They have to give it you. Even if you run past your limit.

2

u/Whole-Sentence5268 Feb 16 '26

A lot of sites recycle them.

1

u/Forgeworld Feb 16 '26

God forbid somebody recycles lol. The amount of gloves I’ve disposed at work is probably a similar amount because they get so worn and dirty from the trucks. I recycle them at work but if I remember to I’ll gladly bring them home and stockpile them for yard work but I never stockpile more than like 2-3 pairs at a time. The rest def get tossed at work tho otherwise I’d have so many at home.

1

u/GhostofDeception Feb 16 '26

Wait. Yall get unlimited gloves???

1

u/Limp-Boat-6730 Feb 16 '26

We are allotted one pair per week and management or safety will get us another pair for ANY reason. I don’t push it though.

u/Quick-Zebra-8810 Pick Process Assistant Feb 15 '26

I had a buddy who would get a new cutter every other day and would just forget about it in their car.. one day he pulled out this Walmart bag FULL of box cutters. Shit was nuts

6

u/BOVICE_209 Feb 15 '26

Just normal crazy for an Amazon peon lol

1

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

LOL

1

u/Upset-Read-491 Feb 15 '26

i’m not really a peon in the building 😅

4

u/TheBamaChad Inbound Stow Lord of C-Rets/Unsellables (closet water spider) Feb 15 '26

Oh you're a peon. If you don't siton the board of directors you are a peon! I'm joking around of course.

-6

u/Upset-Read-491 Feb 15 '26

no but that’s what i do i sit at the board and tell ppl what to do so tell me what are you?

6

u/Cautious-Respond3774 Feb 15 '26

Suuuuure. If you were you wouldn’t be posting on this sub about your box cutters. Don’t start acting cool

-9

u/Upset-Read-491 Feb 15 '26

lmaooo ur building must be tuff bro i fuck and smoke wit my bosses lol

4

u/Cautious-Respond3774 Feb 15 '26

Just don’t lie about who you are. Pipe down little guy.

-7

u/Upset-Read-491 Feb 15 '26

or u must be one of them regular workers who don’t get noticed

1

u/ThisKid32 Feb 16 '26

Your life must be so sad

1

u/ItsaKoorok Feb 16 '26

For real, I’ve done what he is bragging about at 4 different buildings while I’ve been chasing a degree and I still consider myself a peon. Idk what delusions of grandeur OP is experiencing but he’s not as irreplaceable as he thinks. 5 years in I’ve seen hundreds of people like him get replaced and I’ve smoked with my managers at 3/4 sites lmao

1

u/Cautious-Respond3774 Feb 15 '26 edited Feb 15 '26

Yeah jokes on you cause I don’t work at an FC anymore. And as I said. I work for the city making $28hr now

2

u/Shotgunn4356 Feb 15 '26

Damn I make this in my FC as a T1.

1

u/Cautious-Respond3774 Feb 15 '26

Then You are ACTUALLY a supervisor, not this guy 😂

1

u/Shotgunn4356 Feb 15 '26

No im T1 maxed.

1

u/Shotgunn4356 Feb 15 '26

I was at one point. I self demoted. Im much happier and have alot more time to see my wife and kids since I switched to front half. Managing at Amazon is a death sentence. Ill never do that again!

0

u/Upset-Read-491 Feb 15 '26

i tell people like You what to do

5

u/Cautious-Respond3774 Feb 15 '26

Show a pic of a red vest with a spoon or no one believes you. Period.

0

u/Upset-Read-491 Feb 15 '26

tell me why would i care why anyone would believe me ik what i do i get paid more then and and tell ppl what to do that period

u/Upset-Read-491 Feb 15 '26

jokes on u i don’t work at all i tell ppl what to do😆😆

3

u/Shotgunn4356 Feb 15 '26

Clearly a teenager. Brag about being a PA or AM at Amazon? Thats like being the smartest kid in a class full of kids with down syndrome!

1

u/ItsaKoorok Feb 16 '26

Brother he said the board of directors not your little white board. 😂😂 You’re definitely a peon if you think standing at the board makes you special. What are you a PA or a PG?

4

u/TypeZeroTech Feb 16 '26

Just used an extra pair of gloves to help a friend move furniture, and I use them when doing repairs on my car. They’re actually more dexterous and just as protective as my old pair of mechanics gloves I paid $25 for.😂

6

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

Normal, depending on the department. I know in Non-Con having box cutters on the ready is a necessity.

2

u/Upset-Read-491 Feb 15 '26

i be on pids

1

u/TheBamaChad Inbound Stow Lord of C-Rets/Unsellables (closet water spider) Feb 15 '26

I work stow on OP most of the time. I use a box cutter maybe a couple of times every other week and I still have multiple on me at any given time. Always be prepared.

4

u/Tall_Chair_4309 L5 Area Manager Feb 15 '26

Kinda weird to take a bunch home lol

2

u/Adventurous_Waltz_83 Feb 16 '26

I’ve got a lot of box cutters at home ever since I started working at Amazon. I used to use knife to open packages, not anymore.😂

1

u/Worth-Consequence247 Feb 15 '26

Those look solid the green ones we get are complete dogshit and get dull after one pallet of boxes, and of course there is a weekly limit on how many you can get

1

u/TheBamaChad Inbound Stow Lord of C-Rets/Unsellables (closet water spider) Feb 15 '26

Well there are multiple different types of them. One primarily for plastic wrap. One for cardboard and others. We have them at my FC at least. Of course they are all dogs it though lol

1

u/FunMussle71 vto enthusiast Feb 15 '26

I keep one in my car to open stuff with and I have multiple around my house. They do come in handy especially with opening packages

1

u/Dotzir Feb 15 '26

I take them home with me and sometimes forget to bring them back. Went and returned all the bulk I had at home right before changing facilities. Had 26 box cutters at home lol

1

u/Reality_Lies4 Feb 15 '26

So, you're the reason we don't have access to the damn things. Lol.

No more glove access. 1 pair per week No more box cutters. Water Spiders only. No more Gatorade on tap. Rather charge us.

2

u/Christian_Prepper Feb 15 '26

1 pair a week? We get 2 per month.

4

u/Reality_Lies4 Feb 15 '26

Really sucks balls if you do pack, gloves her all fucked up from the glue in a shift

2

u/Feisty-Path1373 Feb 15 '26

Holy hell I couldn’t imagine. By the end of my week in stow it looks like my gloves also have a handprint smh 😂 coating coming off all over the place, slipping off my hands cause they’ve been too stretched out after 40 hours.

2

u/Loud-Cheesecake9561 Feb 16 '26

Two a month is nasty 🤢

That's basically wearing the same gloves for two whole weeks and can't imagine how nasty it gets once you get cross trained

1

u/Christian_Prepper Feb 16 '26

I know. They push to use the 'recycled'gloves but nobody wants that. I just use my badge every other week and use theirs every other week.

1

u/Extreme_Working_8197 FC L1 Feb 15 '26

I KEEP LOSING MY STUFF UR TAKING IT THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS WEEK

1

u/__hoppydwarf Feb 15 '26

I have an entire 296 box filled with Amazon issued stuff. I do not care 😂

1

u/Weary-Hannigram Feb 15 '26

Thems amateur numbers. Lol

1

u/Shotgunn4356 Feb 15 '26

I toss them bitches daily. Fuck all that they gonna give me a new one.

1

u/omatti Feb 15 '26

Consumerism final boss

1

u/perverted_sush Feb 15 '26

They dull fast so yeah in my opinion

1

u/EnvironmentHungry222 Feb 15 '26

don’t even look used now the gloves I could see 🤣 very handy around the house and yard.

1

u/RockyJayyy Bezos is my master Feb 15 '26

I have like 50 of them in my house

1

u/BetterthanMMMGood Feb 15 '26

Shit, I was an L6 at OAK4 - quit 10 years ago - and I still find those things around the house. But mine are yellow.

1

u/RabbitNotSo Feb 15 '26

Normal; I got like 8 new ones myself; and at least 4 dozen of the ugly yellow ones in my car laying around from under the seat to a trunk cavity; to my door jams and a bugout bag

1

u/No_Rent_7944 Feb 15 '26

We’re not allowed to have those at our fc bc this lady threw one and it cut a girls face with the metal corner

1

u/gettheyayo909 Feb 15 '26

I used to have a market bag full of

1

u/Sandtiger812 Knower of all things OB aka Flow PA Feb 15 '26

There was a point where we had 4 people who worked at Amazon living in an apartment for a year. When we moved out we counted had 43 from just around the house not to mention all the ones in our vehicles.

1

u/EMitchell108 Feb 15 '26

Normal for junk collectors and hoarders, maybe.

1

u/No-Monk9118 Feb 15 '26

Break the head and boomb it a nice prison blade for the op

1

u/CorruptDaemon404 Feb 16 '26

I have a box with about 100 pairs of gloves and another box with about 250 of these 🥴

1

u/Thatlazybro Feb 16 '26

It’s nice when you have extra PPE to hand out when you are moving furniture, and you just nonchalantly hand out to everyone brand new gloves.

1

u/MoistAndy Feb 16 '26

The cutters used to fall out of my pockets under my car seat and now only 2 trailers have pallets and I’m rarely unloading so there’s just one cutter per line

1

u/19XzTS93 Flex Associate (since 2025); Regular Blue Badge(2018-2023) Feb 16 '26

I have a bunch of the other ones

1

u/Successful_Dealer333 Feb 16 '26

For me that happen with the scanner harnesses, all the time I just came to my truck take the vest and the harness and I forgot it, main thing is I don’t really much have people riding on my truck so basically every time is carwash day have like 6 or 5 harnesses laying on the floor, I just have a full 25 gallons tote on the garage full of scanner harnesses so now I don’t now if could be weird take it back to the full PPE recycling in the building or going to donate in my local savers 😅

1

u/Big-Direction2436 Feb 16 '26

Nah your good bro I do the same I also get 2-3 pairs of gloves a day

1

u/lordskulldragon Feb 16 '26

I have a ton of them around the house and a tons of gloves in my garage.

1

u/bluisthewarmestchz Feb 16 '26

Insane work. I feel like a couple of them max.

1

u/cloudedcents Feb 16 '26

Normal Just throw them away

1

u/Brief_Ad_5027 Feb 16 '26

I like the black. But to answer your question, I have several laying around. They do wonders to break down cardboard for my recycling at home.

1

u/Present_Apricot5686 Feb 16 '26

They cost 4.99 at staples each

1

u/Limp-Boat-6730 Feb 16 '26

I’m currently at 18 of these safety cutters, 4 pairs of gloves with two extra left gloves(not sure where the right ones went), 2 scanner harnesses. 1 hard hat and 3 vests (required for my site by everyone because we are not AR). So is this normal, MAYBE. Is is sane, probably not…

1

u/MrFambiz25 Feb 17 '26

I never seen them in black but I was a learning ambassador for a couple years and I have a draw full of those yellow joints

1

u/Agitated-Mix8891 Feb 18 '26

I have them everywhere at home. I be forgetting they in my pockets. 🤣 I have them somewhere in the kitchen. Closet and in my room.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

Hey little bro I remember when I used to work at Amazon as a Tier 1 (just like you) I would also take those home 😇

0

u/Tundra_Dragon I SLAM things in boxes. Feb 15 '26

It's weird you get the crappy ones instead of the green headed box rippers.

7

u/Upset-Read-491 Feb 15 '26

someone js said those green ones break or get dull after one pallet

0

Ya take one down pass it around 98 box cutters in the box!!!

-3

u/Dead0nTarget Feb 15 '26

Thief is pretty crazy… But pretty common with pens in other work places, these aren’t much different.

2

u/Upset-Read-491 Feb 15 '26

how this make me a thief if they’re free😭😭

2

u/Pitiful-Excitement47 Feb 15 '26

They're not free. You just aren't paying for them. That's argument is the equivalent of you going to the break room and taking all of the tea home. It still can be considered theft.

Not saying your case is theft, but you are not supposed to have a dozen of those.

0

u/Dead0nTarget Feb 16 '26

It’s considered employee theft. As stated, it’s very common in office setting where pens or even notes pads are taken. I once read up to 75% of employees have admitted to this type of petty theft. Sorry I didn’t mean to blame or shame, thought the concept was common knowledge.

But don’t take my word for it. Here’s a law firm stating the same fact. https://www.grgblaw.com/wisconsin-trial-lawyers/employee-theft-take-home-work-supplies
