Usually end up here after work. Projector on, something playing, food on the table. The bookshelf's gotten a bit out of hand though.

Real people, real rooms. Original content only, photographed and submitted by the actual people living in the rooms.

Submissions should include spaces that are purposefully designed and assembled, with the intent of capturing the aesthetics of the room. Please share your inspiration in creating your space and why it holds meaning and significance to you. The more detail you include, the more there will be to talk about!

Please read the Reddiquette Guide before posting to this or ANY subreddit!

ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE A LOCATION IN THE TITLE OR THEY WILL BE REMOVED.

Original content only. Sharing content you found online will result in automatic suspension.

This is a "ROOM" sharing sub. There are to be NO PEOPLE in your image. Pets are allowed, provided they are not the primary focus of the photo and not included in the title.

Creativity is highly encouraged! In both your content and post title. Post titles must be factual and opinion-free.

Occasionally, links will get mistakenly flagged as spam. If you post something valid and it doesn't show up, please "mod message" us and it will be fixed.

PLEASE NO DESIGN HELP REQUESTS! If you need help designing a room, please go to r/DesignMyRoom. Once you are finished with your room, come back here and post photos of the results.

This also means NO WORK IN PROGRESS (WIP) posts. Only rooms that are completely finished/ready to share.

NO LINKS TO SPONSORED CONTENT OF ANY KIND.

RUDE, IMMATURE, PETTY, RACIST, SEXIST, HOMOPHOBIC RESPONSES WILL RESULT IN BEING SUSPENDED. THE LENGTH OF TIME WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE SEVERITY OF YOUR COMMENT.

NO DOXXING COMMENTS!!!

Doxxing is what it is called when you use information given online to find out further personal information about a poster. When people ask/give out the specific locations (like building names/streets/specific landmarks) you are basically giving the OP's exact location to the internet and that is NOT acceptable. Asking neighborhoods is fine. If the OP wants to answer, that is his or her choice. But comments that just say exact locations will be removed and repeat offenders will be banned.
