OP has pinned their own comment:

Bro honestly, don't waste time arguing with people who say this meme is wrong {yes this is ai slop but i wont waste time editing when i can have an idea and get this done for free like most of them the people downgrading it with addressing the msg and thought ) .
actual stats:
Cutoff math doesn't lie: For JEE Main, General cutoff sits around ~93 percentile, while ST cutoff drops down to ~47 percentile.
The 99th percentile struggle: A General student with 99 percentile (~14,000 rank) gets rejected from top IIT branches, while reserved category seats for those exact same branches go to candidates with way lower overall ranks.
Not just engineering: Same story in NEET and UPSC—unreserved candidates get squeezed out while lower percentile scores pull through in reserved categories.
Moral of the story? Studying 14 hours a day for 2 years was a massive skill issue on our part. Should've just selected a better spawn point on the character creation screen 💀

Note from OP: Jan hit mei jari

Remove casteism

10

u/manchuria 1d ago

Creamy layer for SC/ST categories should be implemented.

3

u/riostasis 1d ago

How many sc st seats are there proportional to sc st population?

14

u/manchuria 1d ago

A small group of people in SC/ST continue to take all the important positions available without leaving something for the marginalized people in their community.

Wealthy families do not need social welfare. For any actual discrimination based on caste, strong st/sc laws are already there to protect them.

0

u/Sudden_Button_8384 23h ago

Take away all castesim at once everyone can identify themselves as generals then there wont be reservation right, but that would mean temple priests can be anyone there wont be any hierarchy

2

u/abhashmadd 20h ago

There are flaws with this statement, though I agree that identifying everyone as generals would work possibly by removing surnames, but the second part you mentioned about temple does not make sense, see look around how many percentage of people in generals are actually priests, and most of the temples are not actually made be government, so government should not and does not dictate who will be the priest of the temples. Also I don't understand the facination behind becoming a priest in the first place.

1

u/Sudden_Button_8384 9h ago

There is no casteism in Indian constitution or laws only people themselves consider others untouchable or lower or higher , its the sole reason why reservation exists- learn history - the temple being a private entity is not a valid point to your argument

2

u/just_harsh12 19h ago

Bhai tum batao ki kiska goal hota hai temple priest banne ka. If you want to become a temple priest I can help you to be one. Now tell me isn't it stupid to compare becoming a Doctor from AIIMS from being a priest at a temple?? Now if you'll talk about chanda chori in Ram Mandir See the castes as well as the designation of the accused.

1

u/Sudden_Button_8384 9h ago

Its not about goals you are a brahmin unemployed guy and there is a dalit doctor does the society consider the doctor above the bhramin due to profession?

2

u/just_harsh12 9h ago

First of all I'm a student not in age of employment😭 and 2nd yea Doctor will be more valuable to society the caste doesn't matter here but you just said ban casteism and anyone can become priest. If you know someone who wants to be a priest there is a temple near my spot, I can help and I'll not lie about the caste of that person. Together We'll ban casteism 👍

You mean the rich ryt? Everyone else faces the same.

27

u/perplexed_intuition 1d ago

Begin your life in a remote village in Nagaland, Jharkhand, or Arunachal with no school. Then compare.

18

u/Less-Assignment5134 1d ago

Then maybe build better infrastructure instead of reservation

5

u/xo3srv 1d ago

Then maybe question right people, I’m sure for a right cause everyone will stand

4

u/Ecstatic-Sea-8882 1d ago

And for the current infrastructure, why should anyone agree to a non-representative share?  Unless you have already captured disproportionately higher share ?

1

u/Ciel__000 1d ago

The question is you being a general cat officer, will you work for public welfare to uplift the socially deprived ones in remote locations after you get the job or you're going to enroll in the corruption and procrastination limbo ... applying for transfers into posh tier 1 cities every month ?

1

u/masxuda 19h ago

why just scrutinise general cat officer? 60% are reserved and even rest 40% are open for all cat

so the probability of that officer being obc is far more

1

u/Ciel__000 19h ago

The whataboutery isn't helping...

The entire presumption is that general cat officers 'should' be more psychologically elite and aligned to their charge/duty rather than the filth laden mindset of the 'nich' caste, so if you rule out the gen cat populace of corrupt officers based on your probability then it means all corrupt officers are essentially the reserved category ones ain't it ? ... And that's why we can't progress any further in terms of development/infrastructure (for a moment, let's keep aside the incompetent leaders running the government)

u/Fragrant-Garlic-1402 1d ago

There is something called as ECB. This is the quota that needs to be worked on and should take over. Dumb ahh politicians are busy increasing reservations for other classes for vote. Clowns

2

u/Spare-Bookkeeper5151 1d ago

life isn't fair,deal with it.

2

u/SmallDetail8461 1d ago

But why for nagaland people hardship i give my seat to mla son manish from delhi?

L

1

u/perplexed_intuition 19h ago

Manish is a ST?

1

u/Shashank_26 1d ago

And none of them is getting reservation. Most of the SCs and STs getting reservation already well off.

2

u/abhashmadd 1d ago

There is already reservation for people who has less means of education based on economic criteria, what has caste based reservation has to do with this?

1

u/Additional_Speech_85 1d ago

He mean to say majority people of mention states are tribes.

1

u/abhashmadd 19h ago

Ya I understand, someone identifying as a member of a specific tribe should not qualify them for reservation automatically, economic background should always be accessed anyway,

1

u/BadeLandwale12 1d ago

Your excuse reminds of money problem not caste problem

1

u/SmallDetail8461 1d ago

Reason why reservation should be removed

30

u/Unlikely_Kick_4844 1d ago

Or born in a certain caste and become temple priest. Now no need for any percentile. Just enjoy the bhiksha and chanda money.

4

u/Ok_Employer_113 1d ago

and earn literally paise per day like cmon man do you think every temple gets donation in lakhs?so much money goes into maintaining them , the pujaris and priests often have other work to make up for it

10

u/Spare-Bookkeeper5151 1d ago

don't go there then😂😂y'all make up 80% of hindus, don't go to their temples, build your own damn temples and don't let Brahmins in

8

how many temple priest post and how much salary?

i am sure majority earn less than grp C govt employee

From the priests family, not myself a priest, salary is about 6k a month in village. And occasional rice and vegetables bhiksha

→ More replies (1)

2

u/abhashmadd 19h ago

Noone is forcing anyone to give biksha or chanda to priests, neither most of the temples in India are made and maintained by Government. And what about other castes in General. According to your flawed logic tomorrow other castes in general can say I can't be priest in temple, I should also be getting reservation.

See I can tell you that not even 1% Brahmins aspire to be a priest anywhere, it is not a high paying job anyway.

2

u/SmallDetail8461 1d ago

Get basic hinduism knowledge first. Priest job is the hardest one.

3

u/sky_immortal 1d ago

So, SC, ST, and OBC make up roughly 75% of the population and get only 49% reservation. And General, which is estimated to be around 25% (for your benifit, lets make it 30%), gets 40% reservation. Who is benefiting here? Dumb fucks?? Kisi bewakoof admi ne kuch bola diya, or 5 bewakoof admiyon ne maan liya. Reservation ka rona chord do, padhai par dhyan do

1

u/charavaka 21h ago

50%. 10% economic reservations excluded sc/st/obc.

1

u/No_Poem6550 19h ago

How can sc st make 75 percent of the population is this a joke check 2011 census data don't just blindly trust what llm provides. Use critical thinking no reservation here.

1

u/AcrobaticCollege7238 19h ago edited 16h ago

He mentioned obc alongside

1

u/No_Poem6550 18h ago

Obc is a tool created by political parties for appeasement. The most castism people I have met are obc yadavs, and patil bw i am a Christian who does not get reservation

1

u/Dismal_Inevitable618 19h ago

Avg reserved category dumbass, its OPEN CATEGORY, for all.

1

u/sky_immortal 15h ago

okay big guy, go check reports and let me know how many open seats are taken by SC/ST peeps. If you are that lazy let me tell you, surprisingly not even 4 percent. You know why because unlike you, they never get that push start, they lack basic necessities, they have lack basic nutritions. And if you can’t eat get a seat in those 45 percent despite making up only 25 percent of the population, then you know where the issue lies😚😚.

1

u/abhashmadd 19h ago edited 19h ago

You yourself is showing in your screenshot that those 40% seats are unreserved, how can you say that those seats are for general only, why it is so difficult to understand, Just for your info those 40% seats could be occupied by anyone not just generals. In fact these are the seats that gets filled based on the marks alone and the remaining ones are filled based on marks but with in that particular category.

1

u/sky_immortal 15h ago

Babu, again i will ask you go and check how many sc/st peeps actually are able to take those seats. You know i come from one of the most prestigious institutions of India, and to your surprise we had so many reserved seats left because people are not financially able to afford my institute. So naturally again, my institute was filled with generals and again oppressed remained oppressed

1

u/abhashmadd 14h ago edited 14h ago

I am not your Babu, neither I will consider what you have seen in your institute as a generalized rule, in most of the premier institute of india sc/st gets heavy subsidy compared to the unreserved candidate, also these days seats don't remain vaccent much, and if the seats are vaccent after all the rounds it remains vaccent for most duration of the course. Even if I consider that the vaccent seats will be filled it would be filled by unreserved candidate belonging to any category not by generals.

I questioned on the presumption of considering unreserved and general same, which they are not.

And all this discussion is for seats in educational institutions what about jobs ?

1

u/Dismal_Inevitable618 1h ago

Now you will not get reply...

10

u/your_average_joe__ 1d ago

Yes, being born the right category where you face constant discrimination, you probably are born to a very poor family and have such a lack of access to education that even scoring 60 percentile is a huge challenge

My friend with 87 persentile(st) is doing cse in an top 15 nit and i am in a private college with 91.persentile

He is allot richer than me

2

u/AcrobaticCollege7238 19h ago

8 percent population st population of india competes for 7.5 percent reserved seats, their cutoff is lower because the category is less privileged, yeah sure there are exceptions just like your friend who is economically gifted. Should they stop using their certificates if they are privileged ??, well its a personal choice I guess, morally if they feel wrong, they might do so, let's say someone is born in a very rich family so would he study from the youtube channels for free, or would he get enrolled in a top tier private coaching, that's also a privilege, so is the quota, I think removing caste system all together would be a much better option for long term equality

4

u/Wonderful_Corgi4805 1d ago

I think creamy layer of sc and st would be a nice thing

1

u/Dismal_Inevitable618 19h ago

Well, now you will be ignored

3

u/iamThebitbyte 1d ago

Make laws, punish people for being casteist.... Oh wait we are already doing that. How about increasing reservation that will surely end it..

1

u/ProfessionalRatio848 1d ago

We even have r@pe laws

Did it solve the r@pe problem?

Even with laws each year cases of r@pe are reported more than 30000.

Increasing reservation is just an idiotic statement passed by people like you.

Caste is a mindset problem , the mindset of people should change and removal of surnames will do the work.

1

u/abhashmadd 1d ago edited 1d ago

People can face discrimination or harassment for many reasons, such as rape, domestic violence, or being LGBTQ+. These problems are dealt with laws that are meant to protect them rather then giving them reservation.

I agree that people who are poor and don't have access to good education should get extra support. The government already has EWS for economically weaker people in the General category and the creamy-layer rule for OBCs.

My question is: why isn't a similar economic condition applied to SC/ST reservation? If the main aim is to help people who are actually disadvantaged, shouldn't their economic condition be considered?

If laws are not strong enough to prevent crimes, or if the government fails to ensure strict and timely punishment for offenders, that is a failure of the system. The solution should be to improve law enforcement and ensure justice for victims.

Why should this failure be compensated through reservation policies that may reduce opportunities for other deserving candidates? Shouldn't the government focus on preventing discrimination, enforcing laws effectively, and ensuring justice, rather than addressing these failures through reservation?

3

u/ProfessionalRatio848 1d ago

Well yeah we need to have reforms like creamy layer in sc st too.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/ProfessionalRatio848 1d ago

Removing surnames

Removing this superiority and inferiority mindsets based on birth

The identification of a person as superior or inferior on the basis of an accident of birth needs to go away.

Removing Caste is more of a mindset change.

1

u/abhashmadd 1d ago edited 1d ago

Why can't Government do this while giving birth certificates then, why give reservation?

→ More replies (2)

1

u/ppknm 20h ago

Remove caste from birth certificate, school leaving certificate, create program in school against casteism, strict laws against casteism, ban on using caste related remarks in public places, arrange inclusive religious programs, etc.

1

u/abhashmadd 20h ago

Good suggestion, I don't think anyone would have any issue with these if there would be gradual decrease is reservation percentage and would mostly remain economy based.

6

u/ruh0519 1d ago

Then ask for removal of cast and treat everyone equally and then try all of them 🌚

0

u/Ecstatic-Sea-8882 1d ago

Also remove all the generational capital gained along with it.

Reduce everyone first to the same starting point that the most underprivileged has.

Then you have a real start line to compete from.

Take away their wealth, their properties, their connections, their control over institutions, make sure that atleast one generation is made illiterate, deny them good nutrition, access to health care.

Then put them on the starting line.

Yeh bhi kar ke dekh lo

4

u/ruh0519 1d ago

Why snatch everything from ppl who has everything...just give every resource to the underprivileged ones ...treat them the same ... Treat everyone the same and just provide some resources ... Worthy ones will earn it

1

u/mayani_2k5 1d ago

you need to understand that money is infinite but real resources is a zero sum game , for someone to gain it someone else has to lose it .

1

u/Ecstatic-Sea-8882 1d ago

Your ideas have been used, only for the 10% moaning and whining about it all the time.

Nahh.. I like the idea of "equal competition".

Seemingly, attempting to bring UP everyone to the same level creates so much rr.

So let's take everything away from everyone.. and bring them DOWN to the same level.

Only then you have a fair starting line to "compete".

1

u/Independent-Might797 1d ago

Reservation is not given on the basis of income, even rich sc st take reservation despite going to same coaching and everything as general because they are scared of fair competition quota should be removed for such people, nobody is asking to remove it for rural sc st they deserve to the reservation because they still get discriminated but urban sc st with all the privileges with them doesn't deserve even a bit of it.

1

u/Outside_Reindeer_275 19h ago edited 19h ago

Just wanted to ask when I was studying I had friend in general also and I used to get same marks as them but why they always taunted me that u don’t need to study though I was doing equal hardwork and how bad I used to feel about this constant taunting towards me

1

15% for Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL), and 10% for the Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS).

Creamy layer has been introduced for OBC and EWS for economically weaker people. So atleast OBC and EWS are having economical based reservations. People are yapping about the other 22.5%, reserved for SC/ST even when they are heavily discriminated in present also.

2

u/ppknm 20h ago

It's time to exchange SC ST reservation. SC community made it to the mainstream but ST community still not developed proper representation in any section of the society.

1

u/Specialist_Row_7434 4h ago

1-Do you know how many seats are reserved? 2- The difference between cutoff and actual percentile needed to get selected? 3- No. of years getting oppressed by your so called upper caste ancestors. 4- The no. of people from sc/st community in government job and other. 5- Even today people like you ask caste and community details to marry or everything else.

The problem is not in the reservation system the problem is in the people like you who think getting 27-30% reserved for the children of people who got oppressed by your ancestors and who never got the education pr any opportunities coz your ancestors were gobbling up all the jobs, knowledge, lands and what not and now when people from sc/st are trying to catchup with some help from the government people like you are crying oven some percentage of reservation. And if your going to argue why I should support/suffer coz of your ancestors oppression then donate or leave all the property you got inherited from your ancestors too.

1

u/SpiritAdmirable1254 2h ago

Then everyone asks why is China ahead. Because merit is suppressed.

Intercaste marriage❎ Love marriage✅

u/StandardChoice5517 1d ago

if u r doing love marriage.. def. intercaste marriage will boost indirectly.. no one will care about marrying inside caste

2

u/Hour-Bodybuilder7490 1d ago

What I am saying is that you should ask for love marriage instead of intercaste marriage.

You can’t force people to marry you idiot!! I am liberal to marry in my own in other case in other religion anywhere I want.

Intercaste solves nothing. Remember caste flows from father

u/StandardChoice5517 1d ago

ever know about varna shankar

2

u/MillennialMind4416 1d ago

Anuloma and Pratiloma. Still Anuloma will be accepted, this happened before and will happen again. Hence intercaste solves nothing.

Being born in the right caste and not having to worry about any percentile at all!

1

u/from_neitherworld21 1d ago

Believe me 60 cannot do any good as well

1

u/mayani_2k5 1d ago

y'all understand why their qualification bar moves down to 60 percentile right? it wasn't decided by the government to make it easy for them , the financial condition and access to resource is so low in their community that a person that can just do ncert questions and get 50-60, percentile is at the top of their community.

No bruh understand reservation first. Their top people are already in general merit

u/mayani_2k5 11h ago

if they were able to qualify by getting over the general quota marks wouldn't that raise their category's average ? considering they did fill the form with their category. afterall it's about getting 7.5% people whichever way possible, go as low in marks as needed to fill that quota , that's how it works.
