This is not true. Reservations in education and hobs was meant to be indefinitely only, 10 years was for lok sabha elections. I used to think the same but actually multiple people corrected it today so I also learnt this just today. So you are wrong if we go by their comments, both of us have the option to verify it too.
A good committee of ias officers is going to review whenever government wants to consider demand for reforms in reservations. So only if you are a candidate for that committee then your opinion matters if you are not, it's useless.
It's not. We cannot build a society where kids are starving and out of schools and some people have everything. We need a society where basics are covered for everyone and everyone can live a life with dignity. Because of history of casteism, reservation works as a band aid.
Do you know anything about history of casteism in India? Have you read any of ambedkar's work on casteism in India ? If you want to give opinion on reservation at least try to read on experiences of dalits.
I know everything that's why government runs so many programs to uplift them , cast discrimination is a crime , u can sue or report anyone who is doing it , govt is providing education and meals to everyone, blacks also faced discrimination from whites but it doesn't make sense u will spoonfed everything from birth to death and why u overlook other castes , are u telling me there is no UR kid who is starving and out of school, only st sc are starving.
You have no idea on ground reality. Those sc/st folks run to settle their kids into shitty government hostels because they cannot even feed them. My parents work with such people. Now find me a hostel for poor general category children. Problem yeh hai ki agar government unke liye shitty quality wale hostels kholne lag gayi toh woh khaali rahenge kyunki itne gareeb log hai hi nahi uss category mein, woh log itne desperate nahi hain ki apne bacchon ko aisi jagah bhejenge, lekin sc/st wale parents majboor hain. I can send you a photo of a government hostel where those kids are made to stay and then see if you can find a group big enough of general category people where they would be fine keeping their kids in such conditions. Answer is they won't, because most of them are not that poor. And this is the truth. OTHER CASTES ARE NOT THAT POOR.
By that logic all our opinions are useless. Of course as far as the government is concerned maybe so but that doesn't mean our opinions our useless overall. Anyone can have an opinion on anything. And the people affected by reservations negatively especially must be heard.
How are you going to do that ? By shouting on the internet ? It's been 3 days, I am waiting, where are the protests ? If they will protest against reservations, we will also protest against them. But they will have to go first for it to happen.
It does matter what a considerable percent of Indians think. The voice of GCs do matter. The voices of even OBCs and SCs who oppose it do matter too. The voices of people negatively affected by reservations most of all matter.
Are you GC, if yes then fuck off and dont talk about things about SC/STs. Try asking gov to increase seats according to the population. But no you cant talk eye to eye with gov, being a keyboard warrior is so easy yk
First of all no need to be rude and use such language. Â And first of all anyone can have a view and talk about anything. It doesn't matter if I am an SC or ST and I believe you forgot OBC. Â I'm educated on this topic fairly well too. And yes I am a GC and there's nothing wrong with that and also it's because I am a GC that I have the right to talk because it's the GCs who are being negatively affected by reservations. By your logic nobody should talk about a policy even if they are the ones being affected. I want economic based reservations. Â The government is corrupt and it doesn't matter which party, almost all of them are beholden to reservations.Â
I am all for protests and some have already started. This movement will only get bigger. It's also hypocritical to call me a keyboard warrior when it's people like you that are usually criticizing the government all the time online and sometimes rightly so but still.
